An outstanding value. Well made, good writer with an extremely fine nib. Perfect pocket pen. The ornamentation is not paint, it's more like a black cloisonne enamel between the brass lines. It does acquire a patina on the brass, which is easily touched up with a polishing cloth if desired.

Detto per pluriennale esperienza: regge il confronto con qualunque altra stilografica di costo infinitamente superiore.Scrive fluido,regolare e scorrevole.Ne deriva una possibilità di calligrafia curata e variata.Ben bilanciato il peso anche a cappuccio inserito in coda durante la scrittura, buona la costruzione, buoni i materiali, buono il livello estetico.L' inchiostro in prossimità del pennino non sembra seccarsi quando la penna non è in uso (aspetto a dir poco fondamentale)..Soggettivamente discutibile il motivo grafico sul corpo e sul cappuccio che può piacere o no; credo voglia dare un' impressione un po' art deco o genericamente vintage.Vediamo nel tempo cosa succede.......

The Wing Sung 052A is a very different design of pen than the almost identically named model 052 which is currently sold by a number of Chinese sellers. The pen is also sold on-line under the Yong Sheng brand-name which is probably an alternative version of the name of Wing Sung.This has a decorated body and cap with a leafy design outlined in gold and has an 'Accounting' fine, hooded-style nib neither of which apply to the 052. In common, both are predominantly black with gold decorations and of slimline dimensions. Most Wing Sung products currently sold are vintage, most from the 80s or 90s, althout some obviously later designs are also offered. This is one of those as it uses a standard Chinese piston filler and not the fixed Aerometric types favoured by Wing Sung in the past.Because the filler is removable, it allows use of ink cartridges if desired. The nib is ultra-fine and surprisingly smooth, much favoured by Oriental users as it ensures total legibility even when oriental characters are written small but gaining some favour among Western users not only for use in correspondence by those who prefer a compact style of handwriting but also for drawing and sketching where their fine lines and relatively light use of ink is desirable.

I expected problems with this pen because of the cost but I am pleasantly surprised. Clean filling, clean writing and great value.
