I don't know it's ability to protect hair from heat, but this product has some major downfalls.First, it leaves hair tacky and causes tangling after straightening (even a very very small amount of product).Second, it has shiny particles that, are presumably what gives your hair the "shine" they promise.It is drying.It does nothing against flyaways and frizz to any noticeable extent.As much as I like the Oribe products, this one is not their best formulation.

The product came with a “not for resale” sticker on it. The pump doesn’t work which is a pain in the ***. Definitely will not be buying again. If I’m going to pay full price for Oribe; I’m going to get it from a trusted source.

About 6-8 months ago a hairdresser bleached the daylights out of my hair and then, while trying to correct the awful orangey-yellow she created, she bleached it again! I read about this stuff and I was interested since my hair is so damaged and I am having a difficult time getting it to cover my modest extensions. I cannot say enough about what a miracle product this is! It makes my hair look baby soft and shiny, while not taking away any body. I am trying to avoid heat appliances and this soothes those burnt ends enough to help them blend softly into my extensions until it grows out. I included an "honest" photo and you can see how it smoothes my damage and makes my hair shiny!.

The BEST I have ever used before blowing out and flat ironing my hair. I went from having my hair blown out 3x a week to wanting to do it myself more often due to the salon changing their product line. It is the LIGHTEST and most conditioning product I have EVER used. I have crazy thick hair. It is worth every cent. Moroccan Oil is too heavy, Argan too heavy, this will extend the life of your blowout, make your hair light and shiny, and it smells amazing. If they ever stop making this product I'm going to lose my mind. I've used it three times and just ordered more (what if the world ends? I need a supply).
