Conway Take the Slow Road: Ireland: Inspirational Journeys Round Ireland by Camper Van and Motorhome

I have used Martin’s books for trips through Spain & France and have just returned from three weeks driving the Wild Atlantic Way in my VW T6 campervan with this book as my companion.As with Spain & France Martin’s books are full of genuinely useful tips on travelling in the country. I particularly appreciated the top ten campsites/beaches & restaurants. I visited a number of them and they were all fantastic locations. Each of the campsites I have stayed on following Martin’s advice have been gems. The routes described provide an excellent framework for any journey and proved invaluable in navigating through the country. Excellent, readable and well laid out travel guides. As a note one of Martin’s favourite campsites in Doonbeg has changed owner but has maintained its high standards and is a terrific campsite.

Just returned from a motorhome trip to Ireland. Used this book for pre trip planning and whilst travelling. Really helpful information, particularly the parts where he said the route was not good for the larger motorhome.

I ordered this book as I loved to watch Martin’s travel/ cook series whenever it was on TV. I was totally blown away when the book arrived. This book is the best book for motorhomes/campervanners that I have ever seen and is thoroughly researched- well done Martin. In fact after receiving the Ireland book, we were so impressed we have ordered both the Scotland and England and Wales books. If you are looking to get a book before going on a trip for research purposes I can fully recommend this one as the amount of details you receive was well in excess of what I anticipated.
