Used the kit as instructed. My first batch was the basil scent and all 3 candles barely had scent even with using the whole bottle. My second batch i used the wood scent and half a bottle of my own scent oil so it would actually be scented enough and the wicks separated from their base and floated up during setting. For a $60 kit I was hoping for some decent trial candles but they're all basically useless. So disappointed and a waste.

I was looking to get into candle making and through the many different kits available, this was definitely the most luxurious looking set of them all! It came pretty quickly, and included all the pieces to make 6 candles. The instructions were easy to follow, though the pages were not in order so i was a bit confused, but found the right order. Candle making is so easy and looking forward to making more! They provide two fragrance oils that definitely make more pleasant scents than the standard lavender or citrus oils in other kits. I'm quite a fan of the lime basil mandarin scent. Highly recommend!

This kit is so cute and the non consumables can be reused for future melts. I made 6 perfect candles and the scent throw (cold and hot) is on point so far for the 3 I’ve tested. I actually wish I could buy the fragrance oil separately for future candle making it’s so good. Follow the instructions, pay close attention to your temps (maybe watch a YouTube video on candle chemistry if you’re super concerned) and you should be golden regardless of skill level; this was my first melt and I couldn’t be happier with the results.I also had a wonderful experience with their customer service. The very tip of my thermometer arrived cracked and I was afraid to use it in hot wax. I contacted them through their website and they promptly sent out a replacement for free with no hassle. I’d definitely order again.

Over all this kit is beautifully packaged and has everything you need to make candles. The fragrance oil smells wonderful. However the candle recipe was a flop for me. The oil didn't mix right with the wax and my candles smell weak when cold. I haven't burned either yet. I saw the oil pool at the bottom of the candles when I poured the first batch. I was hoping to give these as gifts but these failed attempts are mine and I bought another companies kit that came out great.

This set is great for beginners, but I struggle with it not smelling when lit! I followed the directions exactly the last 2 times I used it and none of my candles actually smell when lit. Is the essential oils provided low quality?
