Definitely not for Age 4!
Too detailed for our 4 year old with regards to body details and sex! I don't feel it's appropriate at this age to introduce description of sexual acts to a 4 year old. You can talk about how babies are made factually without going into detail about intercourse. It's not on their mind, and we shouldn't be introducing it.It also says boys stand to pee as a difference with girls, which is NOT what we want to teach our boys. The world would be a MUCH cleaner place if parents just simply taught their boys to sit to pee just like girls!

Really well-judged
One of the best books out there I’ve seen that talks to youngish kids about bodies, reproductive organs, babies, families. It’s written in accessible but informative, scientifically-informed, not-patronising language, and gives kids enough information without overloading them with minutiae of details. It’s really well-judged and seems perfect for my 7-year old. I’d say 5-8 year olds should find this appropriate and useful.

Age recommendation wrong?
I dont think this is suitable for a 4 year old like the book states...I bought for my 7 year old boy, and theres a few sections I feel were not necessary for even his age...Probably more appropriate for 10-11 year olds in my personal opinion. And no, I'm not a prude, I'm a young single mum who made questionable choices... trying to find an age appropriate way to discuss sex education so he's more informed than I was.

Excellent book. Would recommend for educating children 6+
Excellent book . Would recommend for educating children 6+ . A good basic book to start with.bought when my children started asking where babies come from and how they are made. Lays the facts in a clear concise and fun way to appeal to a child's understanding and perspective.

This is very informative, but I feel it would ...
This is very informative, but I feel it would have to be up to the parent when to bring out the book for the child to read. I will give it to the mother to keep and use accordingly.
