Zebco 33 Platinum Spincast Reel and Fishing Rod Combo, Anti-Reverse Clutch, Silver

Doesn’t feel like your average cheap zebco. Casts decently far, feels really smooth during retrieval. Rod has good action and sensitivity. Feels durable and easy to use. Good rod for a spare or amateur that doesn’t want to spend a lot of money

A few weeks back I caught a 42 lb flathead catfish on my Zebco 33 Platinum in Wilson lake. I was using 10 lb high vis line on a 6 foot one piece rod. It took me 29 minutes to land it! The reel is top notch.I’m surprised. The rod In this combo is really nice. Pretty light action. Which is good for casting further. Handle seems like cork but it’s pretty rubbery. Still feels like cork so hard for me to say one way or the other. Lures were pretty nice too! I caught 2 catfish out of my pond this morning with this combo but I wasn’t using the supplied lures at that time.I bought this combo because it was $2 cheaper than buying just the reel. I think it is a great value!

Great little rod/reel combo. I can put light line for panfish or heavyer line for cats or bass. Just enough action to do both. My favorite part about this reel is the drag. The high gear ratio is nice too.
