The frame is actually MDF with glued on paper thin textured veneer to give the appearance of wood. Since the frame is essentially fiber and the item relatively heavy, any kind of impact on the corners will damage it. That said, this is an exquisitely designed and well made unit. Solid metal arches make a powerful statement. Mine came damaged on 2 corners, impossible to repair and hence had to be returned.

The mirror is very beautiful, heavy and just what I was looking for, there was a mark on the metal that reflected back on the the mirror, it couldn't be seem straight on but looking from the side you can see it, I will be keeping it but that disappointed me a bit, if I could have seen the mark looking straight on the mirror I would have returned it.Update to this review.I managed to get whatever was stuck on the mirror off , not sure what it was but I used a small bottle brush and Kurd cutter, I gently scrubbed the Mark and it flaked off.....now it's perfect.

I really like this mirror for my entryway. It is a great mirror for Modern Farmhouse Decor that is popular now. It is a good size mirror. Great price as well. The frame is rustic which I like.

The mirror looks is sturdy as shown on the Amazon site. There were stain marks on the wood that looks a bit like insect bites. Yes it is distressed design but the marks are concerning. If it is just a natural imperfection, they could have just sand it and restain it. It is a mirror so hazzle to return. Something to consider when ordering.
