Botanical Name: Emblica Officinalis + Terminalia Chebula + Terminalia Belerica. This herbal formula is known to support many health conditions. Triphala powder is often referred as the complete health supplement. Triphala is made from three different fruits in their dried and powdered form. Triphala is composed of the following three fruits: 1) Embilica officinalis, commonly known to Indians as amla. It is also called Indian gooseberry. 2) Terminalia chebula, called haritaki in Sanskrit, is a nut-like fruit that is picked when it is still yellow and ripening. It is commonly known as harad. 3) Terminalia bellirica, commonly referred to as bibhitaki in many languages, and called vibhidaka in Sanskrit. Many people also call it bedda or baheda. While the three are used separately for various health benefits, together, they can be quite a power packed supplement for natural healthfulness. Triphala contains 5 of the 6 ayurvedic tastes. When taking triphala, tablets or powder are prefered over triphala capsules because one can experince these tastes. Taste is considered by Ayurveda to be an essential part of the healing process. Taste starts the digestive process and sends signals which initiates the body's own inner pharmacy. Merlion Natural's Triphala Powder is made by mixing powders of Amla, Bahed and Haritaki. The product is processed at ISO, Halal and USDA NOP Certified processing facility and then packed in Food grade consumer packs. At Merlion Natural's we ensure that only fresh batches of products are packed.

Great product for relieving constipation
I needed something to relieve constipation naturally. After reading reviews regarding Triphala I decided to try powder instead of capsules because I read that the powder is more effective. This product is amazing. I mix one heaping teaspoon into my favorite juice, let it sit for about an hour, stir again and drink it down. Triphala has a bitter taste and the powder is a bit gritty but with juice it makes it easier to drink. I highly recommend this product!

I guess it works
It doesn't taste like anything special. I've learned it's best to add it to water first and then heat it. Seems to blend better. I use it as a mouthwash and occasionally drink it. It's not sheer. Very thick once mixed.
