Fatima's GardenOrganic Prickly Pear Oil, Cold-Pressed, Face & Hair Moisturizer, 1.7 Fl Oz

Nach einem erstmaligen Kauf eines Kaktusfeigenöls in Marokko und dessen überraschender, positiver Antifalten-Wirkung, musste ich - da es mein Erstkauf-Produkt in Deutschland nicht gibt, auch nicht über Internet :-( - Alternativen suchen und wurde u.a. bei Fatimas Garden fündig. Ich schreibe "unter anderem", weil ich parallel noch weiteres kaufte zum Vergleich. Die Viskosität bei Fatimas Garden ist deutlich geringer, das Öl also flüssiger, wie bei den beiden mir bekannten Vergleichsprodukten. Ob dies einen inhaltlichen Unterschied macht - ich weiß es nicht. Dass das Öl etwas nach Sesam riecht fällt auf, ist aber letztlich nicht störend. Der Pflegeeffekt scheint (bei mir) geringer, als bei den beiden anderen mir bekannten Produkten. Ich bin kein Dermatologe und kann die Wirkung nur subjektiv beurteilen. Letztlich aber werde ich das Produkt nicht mehr kaufen. Befremdlich fand ich, dass ich nach dem Kauf Mails erhielt mit der Bitte, mir den Inhalt einer Bewertung gut zu überlegen. Ich trage demnach auch eine soziale Verantwortung für die Genossenschaft in Marokko, die das Öl herstellt. Und negative Bewertungen solle ich doch zunächst direkt an den Hersteller liefern, damit dieser die Chance erhalte, darauf einzugehen. Hmm, klar, Bewertungen sind im amazon-Zeitalter das A und O, aber das ist ja nicht Sinn und Zweck einer Bewertung. Die, ich betone es nochmal, natürlich völlig subjektiv ist! Aber meine Entscheidung, es nicht mehr zu kaufen, steht.

I had previously brought some prickly pear oil when I visited Morocco. To be honest I didn’t really use it at first, but then I suffered a bad burn to the back of my hand and wondered how to look after the burnt area. I remembered the oil, and thought I would try it. The results were amazing, my hand healed really quickly and I was left without the scars I feared I would have. I then decided that I would start using it on my face. Typically I don’t like the feel of oily products on my face, but the pear oil sinks in fairly fast. I ordered more oil from Fatima’s (after research it looked pure, genuine and supportive of the lady’s that make it) and was very pleased to find that it was as good as the one I had purchased in Morocco. I use it at night on my face, neck and the back of my hands (a little goes a long way). I love the oil, and will continue using it. Thank you Fatima’s for a great product.

I was in Morocco last month and heard the benefits of cactus oil extolled in the souks but was not prepared to buy there without research, so looked into it on my return. I chose Fatimas kitchen as wanted to support the women’s collective. Have only used the oil for a few days - it absorbs well, my skin is dry and now feels well nourished and brighter- It has a lovely slightly nutty smell. I had an issue with my rollerball applicator and sent off an email explaining the problem . Hassan from Fatimas kitchen came back to me almost immediately and all was sorted. Love the rollerball as it saves so much oil from being absorbed into hands on application. Will definitely be reordering.

Heard good things about this product and they weren't wrong, my face feels completely nourished after using it only a few times, have not experienced a smell, or found that it is too oily (although I don't drench my face in it, I just use a little), my eye bags don't look any different but I wasn't expecting them too, am really just using it to prevent dryness / tight feeling that comes with winter - I am very happy with my purchase.

This product seems ok, but didnt seem to be packaged too well as some oil was coming out on arrival and for that reason I am not giving 5 stars.I am not sure if two types of lids/appliers are necessary, I think they should just stick to one type, as most oils come with just one type. I think ensuring the product is well sealed on arrival should be priority rather than having two appliers.Worth a try if you are into oils and beauty.
