bullying slurs how can this be aloud in this day and age?
really shocked that in this book a person overweight is called ‘hefty’ and a thin person is called ‘lanky’ NOT language i want my little one growing up with or attitude i want to take them - awful given it’s publication date how did his get awards?!

not a story as such
I did not realise this book went with the 'what the ladybird heard' and I bought it having seen the bright colours and textured board book which is also a lift the flap for a really good price. The appearance of Hugh and Len was therefore a bit random until I made the link that perhaps you need to have read the 'what the ladybird heard book' itself. The book is ok, not really a story as such.

ANOTHER LOVELY LEARNING TOOL FOR LITTLE ONES
An enjoyable adventure for little-ones to learn about farm animals and creatures you may findin the countryside.Hardback cover, thick cardboard pages with pull-outs to keep little one interested (again thepull-out flaps will in most cases in time break-away as little fingers open them up with perhapsenthusiastic curiosity)They will enjoy the book and want to have it shown to them on a regular basis.

Nice board book
Nice board book, little disappointed with the animals in the book not always animals found on farm, comedy at end with the 2 men. Book arrived very quickly. Grandson was reasonably happy with it as long as we provide the animal sounds

Lift the flap fun!
My 15 month old son is totally in to animals, and also flap books, so this is perfect. Hoping the story to it will be enjoyed more as he gets older - if he's not torn all the flaps off by then! A fun book, anyway.
