Better than Giant Pills & Bitter Chewables!
I wanted a 100% natural L-Lysine product. Unfortunately, this one is Synthetic, but I bought it because I had trouble swallowing the huge pills & struggled with the disgusting taste of the only chewable L-Lysine I could find.First, I want to mention that the instructions say add "one scoop" to your favorite beverage... but, as others have mentioned in their reviews, there is NO scoop included. That's super frustrating. Fortunately, I had a food scale to weigh out the 1 gram portion, but if you don't, it's about 1/2 a teaspoon.***UPDATE*** - I finally found the scoop! It's black, very tiny, like a spoon for a child's baby doll, & it was buried at the bottom of the container. So if you can't find yours, dig through with a fork until you pull it up from the bottom. This product claims to be unflavored, but it's not completely "flavorless", it's got a bitterness to it. I added it to my morning protein shake and it made the shake taste a little like salty sea water, but it's definitely much more tolerable than the chewable pills, so I'll stick with it.I also read that this product tends to get clumpy in beverages. It does indeed "cake up" forming big chunks in the container that you have to break up; so my solution was using a shaker bottle with a ball whisk in it. I was able to whisk out the clumps as I drank, preventing it from getting chunky. I highly recommend that.

Perfect to prevent URI in multi-cat homes!
We use this for our cats as we have several who get URI every fall due to stress. We sprinkle this on their food daily and it keeps them all healthy. Cats do not notice the product on their food. Excellent for multi-cat homes where stress is an issue. Great way to keep URI under control. Would recommend to all cat owners. It is also a much better deal than buying the formula specific for cats and is the same thing.

Clumps real bad
This product works really well. But it did not come with the scoop it said it was going to. I'm in America I have no measuring spoons that measures. grams. This product though it is soft and smooth when it's dry and fluffy. When you add water it becomes hard and it cakes and is really hard to mix up. You're breaking clumps up constantly and they keep reforming as you try to drink it. The only reason it gets three stars is that it does work really quickly and works well. But I almost choked on a big chunk of lysine after I had finally squashed it mixed up thoroughly. The hard clumps keep reforming which kind of makes me wonder what it's doing in my stomach.🤔

Formula Changed
The product has very little flavor & has no smell It isn't bitter & mixes very easily in water. It's also powdery. This has been the case with the past two purchases. The third purchase was totally different as it now has a slight smell, tastes slightly different & is the consistency of rough, crushed pills. I returned the shipment & received another with it being the same as what I returned. I'm debating on returning this shipment as I just received it 2 days ago. I don't know if I will purchase again. I did email the shipper directly from their website 2 days ago but did not receive a response.

Great product, wouldn't go without lysine now
Back in the mid 90s, I took lysine for about 2 years, 500mg/day, and noticed that I stopped getting fever blisters. No outbreaks at all. And I used to get honkers. So big that my husband would give them names, "Oh, are you and Chuck going out for awhile?" Funny. After I didn't have them for a few years, I laid off for a couple of years, taking it now and then, and still no outbreaks. Then in the last 5 years, I got maybe 4, not even one a year, but they never came to fruition: just a bump for a day or two, then went away. Then a couple of months ago, I got some to give to the stray kittens for their eye infections, so we started taking it again. We put it in our breakfast mix (cottage cheese and flax seed oil ala Budwig). It's tasteless, don't even know it's there. There is some evidence that cancer can be based in a virus and lysine is definitely anti-viral. It's so easy to take and no evidence that it can hurt, so it's again part of our routine and we're very glad to have it back! The kittens were very healthy when we took them to the no-kill shelter :)
