A Shredder's Paradise for my conure.
Thanks to Haley's heart-rending review about the crimp on the bottom I double checked it and found it to be crimped sufficiently, although I can't speak for all of them as a pliers might come in handy for some. All said my conure loves it and has already destroyed half of it in a couple of weeks time.I will be buying another one, but will double check the crimps on all my products that include the unavoidable use of metal to hold them together.Four stars out of five because someone's bird got hurt and judging from the pic I saw, a bad one did indeed slip through.Always double check everything bought for birds who chew, especially bird huts which might have threads or strings that form loops that the bird can get wrapped around in.Periodic inspections of all toys and accessories are a bird owners duty to both themselves and their winged companions.

Good toy for most small size birds
This is a good toy for a cockatiel or smaller bird . If your bird likes crunchy sounds or plays gently with toys . It will not do well with a small Goffin’s Cockatoo size bird . It has a center with a metal Rod to hold the pieces . When the bird gets the straw off the metal could be dangerous when bent by the bird

Not a safe bird toy!
This was not a safe bird toy. Any bird who plays with this toy can easily bite off the rudder bands on the ends arms of the toy. The finger traps is a great thing for them to chew on for bill management . However the rubber bands and the foam parts ithat is in the middle of the finger traps is danderous for them to chew on. They can swallow the foam or rubber band pieces and it can get stuck in their gullets. This will kill your bird.

My Cockatiel Loves This Toy!
My cockatiel likes this toy at the first sight. He spends more time on this toy than any other toys in his cage that we switch around every few weeks. He would at times hop and perch on it, nibbling at it, which I guess because he likes the material of this toy - though I'm not sure what it's really made of, not plastic or paper, but it's a safe ones - the bird does not actually swallow any of it, he just bites a tiny piece or snatch one whole straw and then drops it after nibbling on it. It's been a month since we bought it now, and the toy is left with a few straws still attached. These straws are pinned together with a metal stick, hung with sisals and topped with five little plastic beads - I don't think my cockatiel would be able to bite away those beads though. This toy is fairly priced, but it won't stay around for very long time since my bird is a toy-destroyer. The good thing is, he plays with it and thus prevents him from boredom and/or screaming during the day.

Unsafe!
It has little rubber foam pieces and my bird ate a little piece... glad i caught her before she got too much! They should never have put a material like that on a bird toy. I am very disappointed....
