The description on the website said it would fit a 2007 ford f150 4.6 V8 but when i got it it said an 04-06.....and it didn't fit...

Good expectations!
This is actually works with any new 4.6L 281cu. engine not just for F-Series vehicle, at lease it worked just fine on a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria. This would give you about 15 hp and a little bit more kick on high speeds. It will work best with a ported plenum. I highly recommend this to a friend.

It said that it fits 04 through 08. But it's not the right one.

Bottom line. It works...but may take some finesse. The big thing is make sure you use the multimeter if you have one. I set mine too tight and didn't do the calibration properly and had some serious bucking. Recaled it and it was no problem. It's very finicky and you have to follow the recal steps every time you retune your PCM if you have a handheld tuner. Wasn't purely a plug and play like a cold air intake due to the relationship with the fuel air ratios changing w drive by wire but works...you just may have a little primadona massaging. lol. Only takes 20 mins to put on. Almost as long to calibrate haha.
