First off I am not one to write reviews. As a matter of fact this is my first one. I am in the construction trade and as some of you may know there is not always somewhere close by to pick up something hot to eat. I chose this set because of the good reviews. I live and work in the sierra mountains and it is now mid December and cold. I heated up some home made soup and put it in the thermos at around 630 in the morning. I decided to skip a lunch break because I was going to finish early. Arrived home around 245 in the afternoon. opened the thermos and the soup was still piping hot. Not just hot but piping hot to where I could hardly eat it. The one thing that impressed me most was that I left it on the seat of my truck all day in 28 deg. temps. This was my first day of using it and there are 2 things that I noticed. The spoon doesn't stay clipped into the cap so I can see me loosing it at one point. Also the gasket has already fallen off but it was easy enough to put back on. I can see that disappearing easily at some point also. Other than that they are awesome. Do yourself a favor and get them. The price is right. Glenn

Glad I bought this food jar setI finally bought this food jar set after several other purchases that made me disappointed. I had a couple of the funtainers but never satisfied. My old thermos was tepid, sometimes not even warm after about 5 or 6 hours. Then I met this 24 and 17 Ounce Food Jar sets for the first time use with very good results. I put it half filled with chili and it was still very hot after 5 hours. I did preheat the food jar with boiling water. I am pretty certain that when I use this jar with hot soup filled, it will keep hot after 8 hours. Glad I bought this food jar set.

Great product, built with quality material. Sturdy construction with leak leakproof lid that keeps food hot for a long time. One of the nice little detail is the bottom of the jar is padded with rubber so the jar is non-slip, saved my laptop several times already!
