My First Book of German Words (A+ Books: Bilingual Picture Dictionaries) (English and German Edition)

I love love love this book. Not only is it a great tool for teaching my children basic everyday words in Japanese, but it is helping me learn too! Thanks to this book, my girls learned the basic parts of the body in Japanese in about two days flat (and they are ages 3 and 4!) My only complaint is that I wish it were longer! I would love to see a second volume or another edition with even more words. All in all, a great teaching tool and a fun, colorful, engaging book.

This is one of a series of books designed for beginners learning a foreign language. If you haven't enrolled for a German class, this is a great way to get ready for one. Along with a German dictionary, it's an excellent option for building a basic vocabulary. High five for "My First Book of German Words"!

This book is nice because it has real-life pictures labeled with the German and English words. There are also the pronunciations underneath the word which other books don't always have. I would recommend it for older toddlers because there are about ten or more words per page and younger toddlers probably won't sit there long enough for you to be able to go through them all.

This is a simple book with simple words in Italian. Good for 1 to 5 years old learning words and to develop a bilingual ear.

Easy to use. Beautiful familiar photos to help children learn the language.

Great quality pictures. Love the diversity in the multi-culti family- but the phonetics were often incorrect. Went through book with my German husband and when I'd pronounce something wrong I'd show him the phonetic spelling and he'd say, "yeah, about 25% of those are wrong." If you don't know the correct way to say the words, or have a German handy, I wouldn't recommend this just for teaching your child how to speak German.

I found this elementary book of German Words just perfect for beginners learning to speak German! I plan to use it in my beginning class of high school German starting this fall. I also plan using is to teach German to my grandchildren.

Purchased for Nonno for Father's day to use with the grandkids. He loves it. I definitely checked all the words with my sister, and there aren't any problems. I wouldn't reccomend if you're family speaks a dialect and that's what you're hoping to teach? This book is the proper Florentine Dialect which is used in school and study in Italy. We're Le Marche and its pretty close. So no complaints here.

Great gift for Grandchildren. Bright, colourful photos and everyday "kid" words, i.e. flower, ball, cookie etc.
