Good value
I was surprised how heavy and solid this lens was when I opened the package. Both the focus ring and aperture turn smoothly and have a quality feel. I find it a pleasure using this fully manual lens and it works well with my a6000 Sony. As far as picture quality goes it’s quite good. Focusing is easy using the focus peaking method and sharpness is excellent. Bokeh is excellent and much better than the 16-55 kit lens. It’s seems to have good edge to edge sharpness with a small amount of barrel distortion and no discernible vignetting. Color does not seems as saturated as my other lenses but I can compensate in editing. So far, astrophotgraphy is not great considering the 1.4 aperture, but I’ve only had this lens a few days.

WOW
I recently got a Sony a6000 and wanted to get another lens for everyday shooting over the 16-50 kit lens. I just took a few pics but this lens is WAYY sharper than the kit lens. I compared the kit lens at 35mm (auto) vs this lens at f2.8 and this was way sharper and had nicer colours imo. I may upload some comparison shots in the future.

You won't regret it.
Great build quality, I love the heft it adds to my camera. Though when at 1.4 to around 2.8 the picture is a little soft and at 1.4 its really noticeable. But that is to be expected with such a price point. I use it mostly at 2.8 and slower. This lens is a must have if you want to add on a super fast, cheap, street and portrait purpose lense. Picture attached taken on a sony A6000ps. no autofocus

Worth it
This is a solid built lens. Rings are smooth, image is sharp enough and it helps get better shots in low light. Definitely worth the money for a walk around lens. Fun to shoot with.

Best performance at this price
The 35mm f1.4 lens is awesome. I’m using it with my Sony Alpha NEX F3 and its doing a great job. Good detail, excellent low light performance
