Foreedge Death by Cyanide: The Murder of Dr. Autumn Klein

WELL-WRITTEN BOOK
Read this book in about a day and a half. Could not put it down. Extremely well written.Dr. Klein's husband is a sociopath, no doubt about it. He murdered her. The question I still have is why. He could have divorced her if he was so unhappy, but he wanted to be rid of her, seemingly to punish her, get away with it and get everything.Still think of one thing he wrote to his daughter--this was one of the letters that was found shredded in his trash. I don't think it was ever given to her, but I'm not sure. It was something to the effect that did she remember how they used to "pin stink bugs" together and "watch them wiggle." Ok, they are stink bugs--they're insects. But "pin" them "and watch them wiggle" . . . really. When he received the cyanide he had ordered, he also injected a mouse--guess he wanted to make sure it worked. This man has no respect for life, any life. Is it really a stretch that he tortured animals and then killed his wife? It's my understanding that there is a direct correlation to someone who maims and/or kills animals and sociopathic tendencies. He's where he needs to be.

Chilling study on abuse and narcissism.
I got this after I moved to the Pittsburgh area, having read the story online.I'll say this: anyone can be married or close to a sociopath and not realize. The clues were there but subtle: his past history having alienated the 1st wife from kids after a divorce -classic sign of a controlling narcissist. His controlling cold, critical unaffectionate personality that had been well noted by Autumn's friends. And most insiduously - his charming charisma and carefully crafted popular public persona. We tend to normalize or ignore what is clearly 'off' because we can't put our finger on it. Beware.

A shockingly sad and well written story .....
A good read; however, the doctor was a neighbor and known for years. Shocking and well written story; sadly, just how well do you really know a friend or even a family member. This may be an anomaly, but anyone can snap or some even become cold-blooded murderers.

It is still a mystery to me.
Very well written, though I had to pay a lot of attention on blood testing. It was noted that Autumn had medical problems prior and up until her death.Im surprise her doctor didn't order more tests on Autumn. I don't think I could have voted guilty, I do wish he could be retried.Very sad for her family and friends.

Was worried this would read like a court transcript
Was worried this would read like a court transcript. Couldn't be farther from the truth. Compelling narration of a terrible tragedy. Highly recommend!
