ITS NOT ACTUALLY BROKEN....
I thought the toy had broken when the string stopped retracting - however after having a look I noticed that there was 2 balls stuck together between the spinning dial and front casing : I gave the toy a good ‘wack’ on the side, the balls dislodged and now is working perfectly! Just a tip for anyone who thinks there toy has broken.

Gets stuck easily
I'm not fond of this pull toy. When it works, it is great. My 5 month old likes the hypnotizing wheel and he talks to the monkey face. The ring could be slightly better shaped for little fingers, but he is able to pull it, but it took him longer than other pull toys to learn how. However, my biggest complaint is that when you pull it, sometimes it gets stuck down and it is very hard to get it fixed again. I have to remove it from the activity gym and wiggle it around. This happens quite often and my son loses interest or gets very frustrated and starts crying, so I would not recommend this product for that reason.

Broke after 2 months
Cute toy. My son really liked it, but the beads that bounce throughout the toy when you pull on it makes an annoying sound to me. It also broke after having it for two months. My child is 6 months old.

It’s a fantastic toy, my son was super fascinated
It’s a fantastic toy, my son was super fascinated. The mechanism makes a sound likened to white noise. And I got it at add-on price. But now I have another problem, the toy seems to be spoiling soon after 2 weeks. I have to find a way to get another for my baby boy.

Eh.
Monkey didn't last long - as soon as baby started trying to take the "skin" off (i.e.: the material surrounding the rattle) it was impossible to put it back on.
