Little car holds up well with parts fitted together by joining.Animal not at all. First wash to prepare for baby, feet came off while drying and then entire legs. Instructions on box said it would hold up to dishwasher, being sterilized by boiling etc., but they apparently used a water soluble glue to attach the legs and feet which loses its hold when wet. If this were given to a teething baby the feet would definitely end up in the mouth with lots of liquid loosening the glue and then the feet would come off in baby’s mouth (high risk). Thought of keeping feet off before I realized legs were also attached by glue but found their center carries a wire which again is unsafe for baby’s mouth. Happy with the car but dissatisfied that the accompanying toy was so poorly constructed for the purpose advertised.

I purchased this for my 2 year old who loves farm animals. It kept him engaged on a long car ride, and so far has been very sturdy and durable! It was easy for him to hold, and the legs move around which he thought was fun. Usually he tears apart toys - he is so curious! However, this proved to be of solid construction and I think it's on the way to being a favorite!
