The Bates Gaffers Tape, 2 inches by 23 yards, is a very sticky, cloth-like tape that can blend in with the background and hold wires and other things and then be removed. I ordered the brown tape, which is a medium brown, and it matches well with many floors and wooden objects including plywood. I've used Gaffers Tape in the past to hold down wires to prevent tripping.I find this tape to be very sticky but still removable, leaving no stickiness where it was applied. In my experience, if the tape is left on too long, some of the adhesive does come off. I only use this tape on hard surfaces and carpets. While it may be okay to use on painted surfaces, I don't trust tape this sticky to not pull paint off walls and delicate surfaces.Gaffers Tape is very easy to tear off the roll making it easy to use without carrying scissors or something else to cut it. I was surprised to notice a white edge where I tore a piece. Previous tape I've purchased had a backing to match the color of the tape. This tape has a white backing.

The tape feels very strong, but it's use may be limited by it's adhesion. It sticks well, but since it also removes easily, it's not as sticky as some. Kind of hard to have it both ways. As a result it leaves no residue behind. I think this will work well for binding cords, making temporary repairs, etc. A good tape to have on hand.

I only recently found out gaffer's tape exists, and its pretty great. I used to use masking tape for anywhere that I wanted to be able to remove it cleanly later. This stuff however is much stronger while being nearly as clean to remove. Another great thing about it tears easily and straight, no need for scissors.

Perfect for what you need. Would be 5 stars but the tape is a touch too tacky for this type of use. You do not want residue on your equipment. It wasn’t bad but there were definitely small remnants of sticky leftover. That was after a short amount of time. No doubt after a while they will leave a little bit of a mess to clean up. Non reflective and works. 4 out of 5

It is the strongest tape I have ever used.The surface I use the tape on, has a finish other brands of tape won't adhere to.No problem with This tape

I used this to tape down my tv antenna cord. It did hide it well without having harsh adhesive like duct tape. The down side it that after a few months, it is starting to peel off the baseboard because of the lack of strong adhesive.

Ive been using real gaffers tape for years and got tired of the recent price increases and decided to give this imitation brand a try. Im disappointed.Its more like thin cloth duct tape then real gaffers tape.The bad:Thin, tears too easily.Adhesive is too sticky and hard to peel off. Real gaffers tape holds just as well as duct tape but releases easily with no residueTears unevenly, often ripping down the roll instead of across the roll.

Appears to be good quality tape. Good adhesion yet still easy to cut.

I just discovered gaffer tape... I wonder how I could have made it without all those years. Less toxic that a lot of tapes, nice finish on my project.

La mejor del mercado! Ojalá tuvieran en color naranja, de ahí todo excelente. Brilla con luz azul ( la cinta azul por obvias razones no brilla) y no se despega tan fácil.
