Outset Portable Food Infusion Smoker

These are finely ground chips for use with a "smoke gun" - a device that heats a thimble full of wood shavings and blows the resulting smoke directly onto food or into a plastic bag that contains the food (I recommend the latter). They are NOT made for use on a barbecue as they are way too tiny.We tested them in our Breville smoking gun, and they worked fine. This is a LOT of chips for most people.Now, back to smoking some more food!

We don't have a cold smoker gun or a stove top smoker... so we used these chips in the smoker box of our grill. It added some flavor. Probably not as much as I would have liked but we did't use the recommended type of smoker. And the flavor and smell that it did add was good. Nice and subtle
