I originally purchased the yellow tetherball of this type and brand but exchanged it for the blue one, before removing the yellow one from its packaging, after I read that researchers have discovered that dogs see blue most distinctively in comparison to all other colors. Both the yellow and the blue balls had bright colors; the ball I received is a beautiful blue color!I wrote a separate rave review for the durable quality of the blue ball that I received in exchange, and I was completely satisfied with the color and size of the tetherball. I think it will outlast the one that came in a kit along with a tetherball pole of another brand.

Bought this for new Boston Terrier pup after seeing YouTube videos of dogs playing with one. Tied it up outside from an overhanging tree branch, tied some strings to it (to keep it interesting), and put a bell on it so I can hear her playing with it even when I'm inside. Never seen anything as effective in wearing an energetic puppy out! She bites it, chases it, flings it around - no damage at all. The trick is to hang it just high enough to make it hard to sink those puppy teeth into it. The pump that comes with it is easy to use.

We purchased it for our dog to play with. We tied it on the close line. He just loves it!
