This gasket kit is a waste of money. Use a tube of RTV if you need to do a cheap fix. Otherwise buy a new cover as recommended. I tried to ignore the “replace assembly once removed” of the plastic timing cover when I ordered this gasket kit. Once I removed and cleaned the old cover I found cracks around the oil pan flange, the plastic alignment dowels were broke off, and the rubber grommets on each of the mounting bolts were torn (I could not find these grommets available anywhere). I have owned the truck since new and it did have 230,000 miles on it so I bought a new OEM timing cover to fix it right.

Fit perfectly if you follow the instructions that come with the kit it will save you buying a timing cover. The cover itself is plastic I just use a heat gun on the area of the front crank seal before gently tapping it out and it works great
