Saved the best for last!!! - Sorry if you missed out
In a word - OUTSTANDING!!! I just received my new McKlein Glen Ellyn "Orange" Detachable Wheeled Laptop bag and it is beyond my expectations. When I purchased this item, it was listed as "only (1) left". I had been looking for a feminine detachable laptop case and the Glen Ellyn was at the top of my list. So I hurried and grabbed this last one. I am soooo glad I did!!! The "Orange" color is a beautiful, creamy orange-tangerine color. It is beautiful, classy and easy to manage.I was hesitant to order based on some reviews which stated the case was small. (Huh??!!) I have room to spare!!! The case is not small at all. I easily fit my 15.5 inch laptop and still have room to fit "two" wallets, an eyeglass case, a spiral notebook, cell phone and earpiece case. That's all in the inside. I still have room for quite a bit more! I haven't even used the outside pocket. Maybe they save the best for last, because this bag is perfect. The case is designed for ease of access. The double-zipper opening allows an opening which extends down halfway the height of the bag on both sides. Though the leather is stiff, the opening is so massive there is no problem getting my laptop in and out of the bag. I prefer the stiffness of the leather. It's just a testament to the quality of the leather. The bag comes with a raincover and the bag detachs from the rolling compartment easily. It does not pop off and does require you to stop and manually remove the tab stops, but this only takes a minute. The wheels roll very smoothly even over bumps. The bag is not heavy either. I lift the entire unit to place in the trunk of my car and it is an easy lift. The only negative that I could say about this bag is that the retractable bar, used for rolling the bag, seems a bit flimsy. It's a tri-part unit and is not as stable as the traditional uni-bar found on most rolling bags. Hopefully, this will not be a problem in the future. I would not put an extra item of luggage, or too much additional weight, on this bar.Overall, this case is lovely and efficient. And, oh by the way, did I mention the compliments. As I have stated, I just recently received my bag and have received numerous compliments! So far a great purchase!!

Very nice bag, but not for everyone
IMMEDIATE IMPRESSIONThis is the BEST looking bag I've seen for the price. I chose the dark red, which is a great color and stands out. I ordered it last week and used it this week on a business trip. It looks very impressive and of high quality, so I received tons of compliments immediately. As mentioned by other reviews, the stitching adds a touch of class to the bag and also makes it more unique than if it were a matching color.PROS: The purchase comes with a mini umbrella attached to a hook on the wheeled platform, which is behind the bag. Not sure how easy it is to reach, but that's a nice addition that I wasn't expecting. The front also has a cool clasped pocket that fits magazines, your schedule, passport, itinerary, or other papers that you may need quick access to. The wheels are very solid and the handle functions properly. It was very easy to maneuver from carrying up stairs to wheeling when I needed to travel a longer distance. Unlike more cumbersome bags, I didn't slow my party down as we were walking across different terrains or as I switched from carrying to wheeling and back. The CONS: Though you can fit a larger notebook computer, expect the fit to be a little tight. I was able to fit my powercord, pens, financial calculators, etc., but you may have to figure out how to get everything you need into the bag. After I packed all of my items, I couldn't find a place to put the shoulder strap, so set it aside and left it at the hotel, but this is the downside of leather versus other types of materials that are more expandable. Another small detractor is that the process of unzipping the bag from the platform is not as smooth as it could be. To remove the bag, you'd unzip the two zippers on each side and the one underneath. This was much easier when the bag was completely empty.OVERALL, the Ellyn by McKlein USA definitely seems made for a female business traveler who prefers a high-quality, good-looking leather bag. In fact, the bag looks so nice that I think I'll only use it for business trips and will buy a separate "everyday" case for my office, which has a more casual atmosphere. If you work in a more formal setting, I'm sure your co-workers will take notice.

ALMOST perfect
I searched for a long time to find a bag that 1) had wheels that detached, plus 2) a strap to use when flying with another carry-on (on the back), that also 3) had handles for easy transition to stairs and a 4) shoulder/cross body strap for when wheels won't work for the situation. Add to this, 5) direct access from the top (no messenger bag flap), 6) a padded laptop case and 7) room for (all) a laptop, charger, big headphones, large notebook, pens, snacks, a water bottle, make-up, and 8) an outside pocket for phone and wallet. THIS BAG DOES ALL THIS!Some unexpected pluses: The leather is thick and high quality, the color was just as it appeared (light blue), it is very light weight, the handle works (collapses and extends, stays in position) great. Water proof cover included. The bag is beautiful and I have gotten several compliments on the bag already. Some cons: THE WHEELS ARE OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD. This is the only reason I gave it 4, instead of 5 stars. It sounds as loud or louder than a skateboard. In buildings with tile, every time it hits a grout line, it clanks loudly. I am learning to avoid tile and stick to carpeted areas of library, etc. I am a grad student and I navigate my college campus by way of a maze of sidewalks and it is embarrassing how loud the wheels are. I am looking for a way to replace the wheels with something quieter.
