Be prepared for any roadside and off-road emergency with the Deep Groove Emergency Traction Mat by Stalwart. This recovery tread comes in a set of two to keep you ready for anything mother nature has in store for your vehicle. Place these friction treads behind your wheels to prevent tire slippage in snow, ice, mud and sand. The treads feature deep grooves for maximum grip and quick vehicle recovery. The mats are made of durable polypropylene and are sturdy enough to stand up to use in almost any weather and emergency situation. The boards feature an angled edge that can function as an ice scraper or shovel, allowing you to clear your vehicle’s windows or clear debris before placing the treads behind the wheels. These mats work with front, rear and all-wheel drive vehicles as well as 4x4 trucks, SUVs and ATVs. They clean easily with a spray hose or a soft, damp cloth to stay ready for your next road trip or off-road adventure. Decent for the money
I’ve had a pair of these before and you’ll get 3-4 uses out of them before they’re too short to be effective. They start to break off a little bit each time you use them, but they’ll work a few times before you lose too much. They’re pretty flimsy and not near the quality of the ones you’ll pay $100-$200 for. I figure I’ll get my moneys worth for how often I use them. Just don’t be fooled by the price; you get what you pay for. Buy the better quality ones if you use them often or really need to rely on them. Also you’ll need beefy tires to get any traction out of them. I’ve never had luck with using them under highway treads.

Piece of crap
Completely inadequate for a real truck or heavy car. Broke to little pieces the first use.

It did get me unstuck from the snow, but...
But it was not super easy to use. Often they would get shot out by the spinning wheel without gripping. But after several attempts it would usually work.

Worked and saved a whole lot of shoveling
I used these on the back wheels of an 8000 pound small bus. They worked great but the handles did break. Still very usable and worth the money I paid.

Crap
Absolute garbage, broke first time I used them, on a Honda Fit no less. Not even worth one star.
