It looks like a very nice gift box (for myself). The quill pen gave my hand and fingers all covered with ink. I guess it needs practice. The worst parts were the seal wax sticks (very poor quality). Not sure it was the wick that gave all of the wax stick mixed with black color. I have to buy wax sticks from other sources as these are very disappointing. It was fun to look at but not easy to use

Fans of Harry potter will be very happy. My child loves it, shame that set includes only one envelope and one letter paper. Apart that set looks amazing.

Set arrives beautifully presented, in a gift box printed with images of old maps. The box itself had no outer shrink wrap, or seals. For me, some of the initial appeal was a little undermined by the fact that several of the components (the feather-topped pen itself, a bottle of ink, the pen stand, and a tea light) were individually wrapped in plastic inside the gift box.Set comprises:- feather pen with narrow nib preinstalled- 5 different widths of additional nib- 3 colours of sealing wax (red, silver, and gold)- A collector and pourer for the wax- A letter opener/seal lifter- A bottle of ink for dipping- A tea light- A pen stand- An ornately decorated seal- An aged effect envelope containing a single piece of writing paperThe set has a real Medieval/fantasy appeal to it, with a touch of Harry Potter thrown in. Although not advertised as such, the sealing stamp included has the Hogwart’s name and logo on it – something which appears to be unlicensed usage.An attractive gift set, that seems reasonably priced at £25.99

Decent starter quill pen set with plenty of accessories.Presented in a quality box with a vintage look and feel globe design. Ins ide is black velvet with recesses for each individual item.It includes everything you need to get started including a single sheet of paper and an envelope that are "weathered" (you can create your own by taking some paper and envelopes and rubbing a cold tea bag over them and then letting them dry).You also get sealing wax and randomly a hogwarts seal to use with the wax.The inclusion of the hogwarts seal actually let this set down as it doesnt actually fit in with it - and makes it appear like its not sure who its audience is.However, the quality of the entire set is very good and you get a lot for your money at the current price of £25.99 so I would recommend

This is a reasonably priced, very fun calligraphy set that in all honesty won't get a lot of use from most people, but will wow kids and teenagers if they don't already own anything like it.I get the impression that this is one of the million Chinese import products that I've reviewed on Amazon recently, offering a set with tons of variety and little extras, probably at a high cost to the environment. However, unlike a lot of imports I've reviewed in the past couple of years, this set actually combines all the pieces to offer something that's more than the sum of its parts. From the antiquated packaging to the sword-shaped letter opener and wax sealing set that goes with the quill calligraphy pen, these are all decent quality items that add up to a cool letter-writing set.Adults might (or might not!) find the set a little tacky, but if you've never owned a quill pen or pot of ink, or have a romantic notion of old-fashioned writing, you might love this set!
