Citrucel Powder Orange Flavor Fiber Therapy for Occasional Constipation Relief, 16 ounce

Well, being a 20 year old female who is new to any sort of fiber supplements, I have to say this is the way to go.TMI, but I've been struggling with "rabbit poops" for the last 3 months. No amount of chia seeds, rough leafy greens, or oatmeal have helped me. I constantly felt like I wasn't getting rid of all of my waste, and I was spending so much time in the bathroom with no results. I am non-celiac gluten intolerant (no, it isnt a fad diet for me, I genuinely have intestinal damage and inflammation, proven by CT scans) so I cant eat a lot of the great fiber choices like bran cereal, or whole wheat products.Citrucel is gluten free, tastes like sunny D/orange tang, and never irritated my stomach. It took a little over 12 hours for me to have a normal BM, but I FINALLY HAD A NORMAL ONE! Woohoo! I actually feel happier and more energetic today.Cheers to intestinal health! Sorry for the TMI, but this is a fiber review, after all 😂😁

You unfortunately cannot tell this isn't worth a darn until you see the effects. It is hard to describe the worthlessness of this product or at least this batch run without going into unpleasant details. SO I will try to be less detailed. Take it like this, I have tried several different brands and figured I would try this one since my favored brand is hard to catch on the shelf. I normally used "DG" brands (Dollar General Store) fiber mix. It provides a smooth effect and normal bowel digestion, but it is too often out of stock at my local store. So I wanted something I can get when I need it.But this Citrucel product doesn't have near the effective results than my preferred brand. It is almost as if its "gel" properties are totally missing. It does not help bowel movement frequency and often you can't tell you are taking anything, since it does no good.Besides that, the claim that it is orange flavored is a far miss as the flavor is hard to tell. I had to use Sucralose to sweeten the mix, and the drink was almost void of any orange flavoring at all. It is a cheaply produced, poor quality control product that does not live up to its intended purpose or claims!Pass this brand up folks, or at least this run of product as it is a rip off and will leave you constipated! I tried three jars of this and all three were useless...sorry

I have MS and have had LOTS of problems getting regular BMs. Tried psylium and I was jet-propelled!! Felt bad and it was embarrassing. Discovered Citrucel through a friend. I generally makes shakes but didn't like the texture unless I drank it immediately. After trying many ways of taking Citrucel, I finally found the answer - applesauce!!! Mix it into about 8 oz of applesauce. You can add water or other liquid if you want to drink it or like it looser, and don't wait too long- it will thicken - or just eat it with a spoon! I think it's delicious and goes down easily. I like to follow with a glass of water or other liquid. Even my physically and mentally challenged grandson likes it and eats it without any complaint. Eliminated the regular intestinal blockages he was getting!!

How to solve the constipation problem? Doctor suggested this when I said I was reluctant to use Mirilax on a child (do a Google search about some of the recent potential issues)I wish my daughter would love this but she doesn't. She will drink a little buy not enough, maybe like 3 oz. I tasted it, it seems fine to me. I don't like that it has artificial color (red 40) in there. Also, if you mix it and then leave it and don't drink right away it gets very thick. Finally, it doesn't mix super well, granules sort of just stay in the water. If I was reviewing Kool aid, I'd give it a much lower rating but this is medicine, and not meant to be Kool aid. So I feel like 4 star rating seems fair. Hoping she'll start liking it if she keeps drinking
