Note my carpet had obvious urine stains which seemed to cover the entire region. Not sure about this..very purple look when turned on over the carpet with some lighter splotches. The whole area the light was trained on had obvious spraying stains, so likely the purple is the urine stained regions, but no useful instructions.

Perfect for dog CSI
Great item my dog has recently developed incontinence due to medication she has to take and this has really helped with targeted cleaning. Need to make sure you operate in a dark room as any light deters results

Maybe it’s better for cats?
Unfortunately it doesn’t light up our dog urine for us, even though we tested a few times. Otherwise it seems to work well, kids love to play with it...

Great product
Does exactly what it says- shows all protein based stains. Made me wish I had it before I got a pet to check the floor in my rental before hand.
