How does everyone store this?

What is the height from the lowest rack to the base since that would determine maximum length of the pasta?

Isn't this exactly the same as the kitchen aid pasta rack? How are they different if not?

How do you transfer the dried pasta to the cooking pot? If you have to lift it off by hand, won't it break where it bends over the rod?
