OMG! Perfect to keep my medical patch on...and dry.
(Read last paragraph for proper application.)I’ve tried about every brand and type of adhesive bandage out there to keep my prescription estrogen patch on. And keep it dry when I shower. Finally success with this product! I’ve included a photo. I’ve had this adhesive film over my patch for 4 days so far, and have showered and the patch is still in place and dry. It’s not bulky, and it doesn’t lose its adhesive quality like all the other things I’ve tried. I haven’t tried to remove it yet since I don’t change patches but every 7 days, but I’ve read others saying it was easy to remove.BE SURE YOU DON’T REMOVE THE “OUTER” EDGE COVERING “UNTIL” THE PATCH IS STUCK IN PLACE. That outer edge keeps acts like a picture frame that keeps a canvas from wrinkling (and in this case, prevents it sticking to itself.) Once the inner portion is stuck to your skin, there is a cut in the framed outer edge that allows you to peel it off in a long strip.I decided to MOVE my patch to a different spot, and discovered the clear adhesive film is easy and painless to pull off. Then I applied my medical patch with a NEW clear adhesive film to a new spot. All went extremely well. You cannot re-use the clear adhesive film; use a new one when you need to reapply.I love this adhesive film!

Invest in success. This stuff works.
These name-brand adhesive barriers are pricey but still the best choice for keeping wounds clean and dry. I have difficulty with very thin, fragile skin, but Tegaderm manages to hold tight until I take it off, then come off without damaging the underlying skin. Although thin (unnoticeableonce applied), it's very effective. I've tried less expensive options, but I can't afford not to use the Tegaderm. The packaging creates a lot of waste, but then, it also keeps the dressing clean and sterile, and makes it simple to apply. Cheaper options don't go on as easily and often waste the film itself because it sticks to itself.I used this to help treat a wound on my leg. Now, my husband uses it to protect his blood glucose sensor. He was having difficulty making other protective shields stick, but the Tegaderm does the job nicely.

An essential for people who use patch-type meds
This is half, at least, of the solution to the problem I had keeping my pain-reliever patch attached.Part of my problem is that I'm hairy, and part of the problem is that I perspire. I have to shave an appropriate area on my upper arm to apply my medication patch, but I've still had them fall off, sometimes in an embarrassing situation. These are a relatively inexpensive way to keep my patch attached. They cause NO skin reaction, and as long as I place them correctly on shaved areas, they adhere fairly well, and they DON'T cause any discomfort on removal. They are MUCH more effective than the adhesive tapes I've tried.Used in conjunction with a compression bandage I made by cutting an athletic sock at the ankle, and sliding the cuff up on my arm, they are 100% effective in keeping my patch in place for the full week, even in summer.

Beware, can't return- wet damaged tegaderm boxes
Beware! These came shipped fine (shipping container in tact's) but the tegaderm boxes have smashed corners that look like they've been sitting in liquid. They smell like chemical. I attempted to do a return and was told "there are no returns on this item" despite just opening the package today after receiving it 4 days ago. This is a pretty expensive loss to take and if you need this for medication patches like I do, it's quite a bummer. Go somewhere else to purchase.

Perfect for covering wound dressing for sensitive skin or for showers.
Thank you so very much for providing these online! These are one of only two products I can use safely on my sensitive skin that won't bruise or rip my skin or cause welts. They are extremely expensive to buy at the pharmacy in my area, so I am so very thankful to have found them online right before my surgery, so I have them to cover the dressing site and while I shower to protect the surgical site! These are perfect and exactly what the hospital uses!
