The kids love Pleo! My kids are 9 and under and they really love this guy. They are mature for their age. It is really easy to forget that Pleo isn't real. Even my wife has become quite attached to this little Dino. I would suggest you go to the web site pleo world and look it over. If you feel that Pleo could be a match for you, you are probably right. The only negative is that once Pleo has been train to recognize his name, he will only come to the person voice that he was programmed on. The rest of us do play with him. We just can't all do that trick.

He is ADORABLE! Lots of fun to be with... however, I started to notice issues weeks later. This may just be me, but he doesn't seem to respond to things well. He glitches when I hold the leaf up and it takes him longer than it used to to recognize it. It's kinda sad because He was so lifelike before.... now it's more like he's a glitched piece of machinery that just sits on my table. Need to get him repaired somehow. :(

I'm a 13 year old girl who LOVES animals. I had been purchasing Furreal Friends items before I found this, but when I saw a lifelike dinosaur toy, I knew this was the gift for me! I got one of these for my birthday. It had pink eyes with a nice green skin. My dad was worried because we thought it might come broken, but it came perfectly wrapped with no harm at all! We found a website called Merlin.com and ordered all the additional foods and learning stones (tricks). ( the original Pleo RB website would take 3 months to ship) I have to admit, it was frustrating when mine stayed in the first stage of life, and wouldn't walk or eat many of the accessory foods for about 4 weeks. But after that it went into the second stage and did its first steps and currently eats all the food(except red pepper) and stands tall and sometimes stretches its legs to walk. Currently it is still at the second stage, but still amazes me everyday! Okay, now to yell at the one star reviews...before I got this product I looked at the website for about 2 months and watched all the care videos about 26 times. Obviously you did not do any of that. The Pleo RB will not learn its name or any tricks UNTIL THE THIRD STAGE WHICH IS WHEN IT BECOMES A JUVENILE! And I know the first stage is frustrating, but the point of this toy is that you are the parent, and that it grows with you! You don't press a button and watch it eat! It has an internal clock which you set when you first get it, so just like a baby it wont eat when you want it to, so you have to TAKE CARE OF IT! I can't express how amazing this toy really is. It should have 5 stars, because it seems like a baby dinosaur is living in my room. PLEASE GO TO: [...] and research all about it so that you understand it. You can only get accessories from Merlin.com or pleoworld. Remember that this will take time. Please don't listen to the one stars because I can tell you firsthand that I fell in love with this dino!

Greetings!I'd been searching online for a PLEO rb and I didn't want to pay $469. I came across this Amazon posting, read the review, and took a chance. I am SO HAPPY with my purchase and I saved $100! My Pleo arrived in perfect condition, safely packaged, and in only a few days after I made the purchase.

hate it, it is s#@t. It broke I am so mad I am never getting one of these again. It GOT MESSED up on the first day.

Love my pleo so much. Just as amazing as I knew he would be.

Too expensive.

I ordered this because my son in allergic to pet dander and I thought this would be a great alternative. Boy I thought wrong. Firstly all the accessories come seperately and are expensive if you have to order it from pleo world because its out of the country. It doesn't really walk around and it very mechanical sounding and slow moving when it does move. When you charge it for 3-5 hours you will get an hour tops of play with it which isn't that long when you have kids that just waited 3-5 hours to play with it. I thought I might be able to feel like its a real pet since it supposedly likes being petted etc but you charge the thing more than you play with it so its really hard to have any real time with it. Also the sound is very low. I turned it all the way up and could still barely hear it. So I returned it and got a PS4 in the place for my son and hes able to play with that so much more.I was sadly surprised to find out when I wanted to return it that they charged a 15% restocking fee which was like $70 bucks and I had to pay return shipping which was like $25 after I had to pay $25 to get it shipped to me so all together I had to pay $120.00 to end up with --NOTHING-- So buyer beware and make sure that you want it and are going to keep it when you buy it. I bought mine from Semsons & Co., Inc. Not sure if the other sellers charge this restocking fee or not.
