I purchased this battery to replace the failing one in my 6yr old Toshiba laptop and am very pleased. First, the battery was wrapped in an ESD bag and it was inside of a sturdy and professionally marked / labeled box. The box is retail presentation ready and would look normal sitting on a shelf in BestBuy or Fry's. I have found that if a manufacturer puts that much into the presentation, the product is going to be good as well which is the case here. The silkscreen markings on the battery exterior were clear and straight. the connector wiring between the battery and connector itself was longer and not color coded the same way (assuming to fit a larger assortment of laptops), but it fit into the battery opening without any issues. It is, like most, if not al,l aftermarket batteries made in China, but after following the 3-4 deep cycle charge/de-charge instructions that came with he battery I found that my laptop functions like it did years ago and lasts several hours. I took a risk on buying this as it did not have any reviews yet and it was a ~$10 more than the cheapest battery, but I any extremely pleased and expect this battery to function well for years to come.

Getting about 4 hours surfing and small stuff with full brightness on and about 5 hours simply streaming netflix. Battery is better than I thought and lasts much longer than most reviews say. They probably didn't condition it which HAS to be done with ANY new laptop battery. You do NOT have to go into the bios and do a bunch of stuff like one review said, that's absurd. Simply install it, charge it up all the way and leave on charger over night....the next day remove from AC power, use laptop of put it on a series that auto plays each episode and deplete the charge to about 7-10% and then turn it off....plug in AC power and charge it again leaving it plugged in and overnight, then it'll be fully conditioned to take the maximum charge it can. Do this 2 or 3 times and you're good to go.

I received on 27 June 2022 brand GHU battery for Toshiba Portege Z830 Laptop. Conditioned the battery by full charging and draining 3 to 4 times. Then stared using. Charge does not stay more than 2h15m even on idle condition (no surfing nothing) Well it’s working for these 5-7 days but I’m not satisfied with battery life. Don’t know what will happens after 6 months or 1 year.

This is a great piece of tech! The battery fit perfectly, the instructions for installation & operation are superb. The packaging is first class. All-in-all a very positive experience.The one problem is a bit of an odd one: Seller provides some tools for swapping out the battery (nice!), but the tools are the wrong type. It's like getting an SAE tool set when everything you have is metric. The thought is wonderful, but the execution was lacking — I had to go out and buy the tools needed. The most difficult was finding a good quality S-Torx (security) for the center screw.That said, I now have the tools and a like-new laptop with great battery life. Thanks GHU for a superb product!
