Well made, and so far it is promising.
Bike is a BMW f650gs Dakar with a 520 chain. As a bicycle mechanic I have grown used to having go/no go gauges for quick chain checks. I don't trust them entirely, but they will definitely give you a quick snapshot of your chain wear. This is a nicely made tool with decent weight. It is 10 gauge steel which is probably much more than adequate for the job it has to do. It is absolutely flat with no apparent warping or twisting. The tool is precisely cut with clean, sharp edges rather than rounded pressed edges. The laser etched chain slack ruler is in centimeters, and very accurate as checked against my dial caliper. I set my chain slack to 50mm's using an engineers ruler, and then checked it with this tool which gave the identical measurement. Plus it is much easier to use. With the scale going up, and down from zero you just add the value at the bottom to the value at the top, and you have your slack measurement. This is only one step more than the Motion Pro Slacksetter.I recently installed a new chain on my bike, and I don't have the old chain to test with this tool. The new chain measures as a new chain according to the tools pictograms. Time will tell as my chain wears. I will continue to check it with this tool, and occasionally measure it with a ruler to compare measured elongation to the scale on the tool.It will be a while before I have anything to add, but on first inspection, and limited use it looks like a keeper.I will update this after I have had more time with it, and I can see how it is working for elongation.

Works as designed
Would have been 5 Stars except it arrived with 3 areas that were rusted. Easily cleaned most of it off. Question the quality of Stainless Steel used. Lightly coated with WD40 before storing

Quick and easy way to check chain
This is a great go / no go style chain checker that remove any guess work on the wear condition off your chain. Seems to be made out of some type of laser cut from sheet carbon steel. Pretty stiff and will likely survive the bottom of a toolbox for awhile.

Should have got the Dirt Tricks version
Not easily used when pushing against the chain links on one end and pulling on the other, it naturally wants to pull the gauge away from the hook end giving inaccurate measurements
