Great quality for the price
I have spent hundreds of dollars on rain jackets for hiking that are as good as this raincoat for $75. I bought this one by chance thinking the quality would be cheap. It’s not. This is a legit hiking/backpacking rain jacket with all of the thoughtful amenities the higher priced jackets have like the hood cinch, pit vents, hip/waist cinch, velcro adjustable sleeves. For me personally the hips are a bit tighter then typical so I exchanged for a larger size and it fits well but the hips are still a smidge to tight (my hips are proportional to the rest of my body) Sleeves are a little long for me now with the larger size but I am overall sooo happy and pleasantly surprised by this jacket.

Nice rain jacket/windbreaker
Although it's not the teal color shown in the picture, it is a nice jacket and I do plan on using it. The zipper seems very durable and is covered with a velcro flat. The hood can be rolled up and tucked away into the collar. The color comes up to about jaw / cheek line so you can tuck your nose if it gets chilly. It has velcro straps at the wrist to cinch the sleeves. And also has a bungee cord cinch for the waist. The two front pockets also have zippers. The black and red style has three zipped pockets on the front and two inner pockets. It also has Velcro wrist and bungee cinch on the waist. It does fit a little tighter and you can't roll up the hood. The hood also has a little plastic piece to form the brim.

Jacket could
This jacket arrived quicker than expected. The fabric is a little stiff & swishes when just trying it on. Hopefully it softens up as I wear it. I ordered a large due to the sizing suggestions. However, the sleeves are about 1-1/2 inches too long, but I can tighten the sleeve Velcro to make it fit better. The bust area seems small for a large, I'm hoping I can wear a sweater or heavier garment under it for added warmth when needed. The color is a nice change from black, it is a darker turquoise with a lighter turquoise trim around the inside of the collar. The collar folds into the pouch at the neck & seems a little bulky. So, I might have to redo the folding. The Velcro tabs on the front flap are strong & always connect together without any pressure. Despite all the somewhat negative comments I am keeping the large as the medium would probably be too small. A friend has this jacket which was purchased a few years ago & hers has a much softer feel for the fabric. The main purpose is to keep dry in the rain which is yet to be tested.

Gorgeous, quality, too small to be an XXL
The colors are gorgeous -- bright orange with pink zippers. The quality is immediately apparent. But I normally find XXL loose, which is why I chose it -- so I could wear it as a top layer. It fit everywhere but the hips and mine aren't particularly huge. Study the bodies of bigger women. We aren't our smaller sisters writ large. Our proportions are also different. Or make a plus version tailored to our bodies. I can wear this open but in a storm, that would be regrettable.

LDA jacket good as single or outer layer, with caveats on fit. Also, needs an inside pocket.
For water resistance, please look at other people’s reviews. This review focuses on fit and comparison with my old, Columbia Splash-a-Little Jacket.I am a 64yo woman, 5’4”, 147 lbs., 38D bust, relatively small waist, 44 hips, narrow shoulders, short arms. I wanted a slightly-warmer-than-the-Columbia shell to wear over a Petite Large L.L. Bean light puffer jacket, for rainy days with temps in the 40-60 degree F range. I also sought a dark color because the Columbia easily shows dirt. I purchased an XL in the LDA rain jacket after a Large in the LDA Women’s Softshell Jacket (Ski Snowboarding Jacket with Removable Hood, Fleece Lined and Water Repellent) proved both too warm and too tight.First, this LDA jacket will serve my purpose. I can wear it with or without my puffer and can probably add a polar fleece vest as well.Because of my arm length, adjustable cuffs are a must, and the quality of the jacket in this regard is exceptional (photo included). The Velcro strip is long and strong, yet easily adjusted.Another plus is the adjustable hood. No matter how tight I try to cinch down the hood on the Columbia, the slightest breeze takes it right off my head. LDA's hood cinches down well, without obscuring one's vision.Fit across the hips is snug, even with the adjustable cord at its loosest setting. One photo shows the difference in hip width between the Columbia and this jacket. The biggest negative is that there is no defined shoulder. This caused the LDA jacket, with no puffer underneath, to shift backward on my shoulders, even more so when partially or fully unzipped. I found this bothersome enough that I may opt for the Columbia on single-layer days. I would drop from an XL to an L, but I suspect the jacket would then be too snug in the hips. Side Note: The Columbia jacket has a two-way zipper, which would help were *it* tight in the hips. The LDA jacket would also benefit from a large pouch on the inside, just somewhere to protect a letter or other large item from rain.In summary, LDA obviously cares about producing a high-quality product but could broaden its appeal by considering women of various sizes. If you're going to build in an adjustable bottom hem, why not make that hem wide enough to be adjusted?
