Expensive but nice
Smells fabulous with a very strong initial scent that eases in the dry down. Non sticky feel on the skin. Overall I think it's really nice but the bottle is so small for the price that I don't feel it's the best value for money. But I do like it and it's much more enjoyable to use than typical anti bug bite products at the drugstore.

Bit pricey but effective
Seems to work... at least I didn't get bitten while we were using it. Scent is pleasant enough but it's a tad pricey for the size.

Anti bug bite lotion - 22 essential oils? I’m confused.
The listing for this lotion states that it "contains our signature blend of 22 essential oils”. On the ingredient list there are 3 listed: Vanilla, Jasmine and Rosewood. Not 22. Now, parfum is ahead of the essential oils on the ingredient list meaning that it’s higher in concentration. This means one of two things: (1) that the scent is from a perfume, not the essential oils or (2) that the parfum is made up of the aforementioned essential oils. If the latter is the case however, and they want to keep their proprietory blend a secret, I believe they still have to list all the allergens of the included oils at the end of the list, unless they are in such a tiny amount as to be negligible. And if negligible, then how is it an effective repellent? There are 4 allergens listed, but quite a few are missing, if there is grapefruit and vetiver in the blend (as suggested) then surely terpenes should be on the list?Having made my own repellent before you need a fair bit of active ingredient for it to be effective, and such mixtures are usually strongly smelling of citronella, lemon eucalyptus etc…Anyway - that rant aside, on to the actual lotion. It does smell nice, albeit not af any essential oils I can pick out, it does indeed smell like a posh afteshave.Given that there is only 50ml in the tube (quite a small amount for the price) I don’t want to waste any and so just patch tested it on my arm. It tingled quite a bit (I’d not put it on my face) but I had no redness or reaction.I can’t test the bug repellent effectiveness until July, when I go somewhere with bugs, so I’ll shelve it until then. I will come come back here after my holidays and update this as to whether it does indeed repell the bugs, or not. Watch this space…4 stars because of the confusion and ingredient list, until I can verify if it works.

Strong Scent
Bought an Acqua D'Alfresco Anti Bug Bite Insect Repellent spray at the same time. Hoping to keep bugs at bay! Sadly neither for me very strong scent - the smell lasts. I was looking for light citrus lemon scent.

Non Greasy
Update - Having used this cream on several evening walks in the countryside, I can say that it absolutely does work. I have not been bitten once on my walks. It rubs in well and there is no greasy film left on the skin, neither does it get greasy when in the sun. I love this cream as it has given me months without the need to visit the GP or hospital. The only thing I will reiterate from before, is that I would prefer a much larger tube so I didn't have to keep buying moreI love the fact that this cream is paraben and DEET free. It is also paraffin free so it is not nasty and greasy. The listing states that there are 22 different essential oils, but these are not mentioned on the tube so will have to take their word for that. The cream is white and is easy to work into the skin without leaving it heavy and greasy. The perfume is light and very pleasant and almost a little peppery but not unpleasant (reminds me of an elderly aunt's perfume). The tube is very small (50mls) so will not go far but good to pop in a handbag. As for whether it is Anti Bug Bite I am not sure as it does not have any lemon balm or other anti bug fragrances so will just have to wait and see and revisit the review after my holiday. If it does work, I would need to buy a lot more as I get bitten very badly and in lots of places. This little tube would only last a day if I had to apply every three hours. At £10.00 it is quite expensive for such a small tube, but it if does work, then it would be worth it for this nice pleasant alternative to other anti bug products.

Three Stars: A Fragrant Defence with Room for Improvement
I recently ordered the Alfresco Natural Mosquito Repellent/Bug Bite Flower Power Super Hydrating Lotion in a 50ml container and have had a mixed experience. On the positive side, I appreciate the commitment to a natural, chemical-free formula. The lotion is paraben-free, paraffin-free, and DEET-free, making it a safer choice for children and those with sensitive skin. Additionally, the heritage behind the product is impressive, with its design originating from a 300-year-old English medicinal garden and developed by world-renowned experts. However, some aspects of the product fell short of my expectations. The size of the bottle is relatively small considering the price, which doesn't represent excellent value for money, in my opinion. Despite the array of over 22 essential oils, the lotion did not effectively repel insects as hoped, leaving me susceptible to bug bites. Furthermore, the lotion's scent was not to my liking, which was disappointing given the emphasis on its aromatic qualities. In summary, while the Alfresco Natural Mosquito Repellent Lotion boasts an admirable natural composition and an illustrious background, its performance and olfactory appeal did not fully meet my expectations. The product's efficacy in repelling insects and its overall scent were underwhelming, and the size of the product did not justify the price point. Therefore, I am inclined to rate this product 3 out of 5 stars, acknowledging its potential and limitations.

Very strong scent and easy to apply
Ordered this mosquito repellent cream for the family's summer holiday in Italy so we have not had a chance to test its effectiveness on preventing mosquito or insect bites. The cream itself has very strong scent which I assume mosquitoes or insects may hate. Easy to apply and not as greasy as some similar products. The tube is easy to use for on the go.

Nice smell but doesn’t stop bites.
Far too expensive for such a small quantity, especially since it doesn’t repel insect bites at all!,
