Bird

It's a very beautiful and artistic book. I plan to use it as a reference to my art work. I highly recommend DM Book Warehouse: they got it to me quickly, as described and at a great price .

Hundreds of pages of beautiful "photos" of birds on white backgrounds. From the other comments I was expecting photographs with incredible detail. Instead they look like photos that were edited in Photoshop with the watercolor and pencil effects. As photographs they are somewhat flat, 2D, and suffer from artifice. However, if you like the drawings in the birding books you'll love Bird, because that's exactly what you get. You can see what the images look like on the Amazon page for the book, in the section labeled "Take a Closer Look: Selected Photographs from Bird." They are beautiful, they just aren't photographic in appearance.

The front cover is eye catching, and it only gets better! Zuckerman has created a fantastic book which presents birds as you've never seen before. He must have put a lot of effort and creative thinking into how to catch the individuality and personality of a bird, as the photos focus on eyes and specific movements that show them as individuals. And the design/layout make the book really stand out from the masses. Anybody can nowadays with a prosumer camera take a decent photography of a bird broadwise, but to make it interesting requires more. The photos are taken under controlled conditions, but even then it is impressive - the book makes you want to go out and do something creative yourself!

This book is so unique. The photography is so unique! Each bird is displayed on a pure white background which makes one wonder if it's a painting or photography. I find myself marveling at the detail of each bird, as there isn't a background to compete with the subject. Just a stunning collection!

Zuckerman is a magnificent photographer and conceptualist , with a fine team of handlers and keepers that enable him to create portraits of birds that are beyond compare. This book is to the modern, and photographic, world what the intricate drawings of creatures were to The Enlightenment.The book is a joy to experience. Small wonder that it only has a single-word title, for it defines the concept of "Bird" completely. Zuckerman captures the complete range of the species, from regal presence to menace to thrill.I was so taken by this book that I ordered "Creature" immediately. They are both treasures.

This book has exquisite pictures. I had borrowed it from the library on semi-permanent loan :). When I had to return it, I found it at a reasonable price and bought it, because I loved it so much. The pictures are so detailed and lifelike, and the animals show such incredible emotion.

The quality of this book is absolutely astounding.The photography is superb; incredible detail, color, interesting compositions. Even though the photographs are on a completely white background they have a crispness, and vibrance due to the careful lighting.The page design is excellent, wonderful contrast of sizes, shapes, color and great use of the white space.Oh, and the birds? Beautiful. A reminder of how amazing natural creatures are, how detailed the plumage, the delicacy of color, the silkiness of black feathered birds, and then the quirky details of theirs beaks, claws or other amazing details the photographer has picked out to show us.A very impressive project, beautifully executed.

This is a fantastic seller! I ordered several books from multiple different vendors on the same day. Not only was this the quickest book to arrive, it's exactly what I ordered. The two other books from two completely different sellers were both wrong & had to be returned. I wish all sellers were as thorough & well planned out as this seller clearly is. This book is absolutely stunning. Creatures was very very good and this keeps up the standard. Creatures was difficult to get hold of in the UK but Birds is available to everyone - order it now!

There's a large, impressive bird image on each month. Very neat, colorful and detailed. The bird poses are original. Recommended!
