Great little knife, eliminating our microwave butter melting fiascos
I didn't know I could like a butter knife so much! How did I get along without this before? Well, we put our butter in the microwave for 7-8 seconds to soften it to spread on toast without ripping it apart. But almost always, either myself or my kids will melt half the butter into liquid. I actually came across this knife completely on accident, and did not intend to spend money like this on ONE knife, but I kept thinking about it, so kept going back to look at it, bit the bullet and bought it. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is that I don't think it does as great of a job as it claims on solid butter that just came out of the refrigerator. But when you have butter sitting on the counter in Minnesota in the winter, it gets pretty solid as well, and it works great for that.

Quality not as good, but it does make nice patterns.
First of all, the metal is definitely not the finest stainless steel, and Iโm already seeing a spot of rust form after a couple of monthsโ use. Second of all, the free surface on the blade for spreading butter is limited. I just so happened to have bought a wide-head bagel knife at the same time and was far more impressed with the quality and spreading ability with that knife. This knife is more for the fancy patterns you can get from butter. For that, it is a fun knife to use, but for actual ease and functionality of spreading, I definitely reach for the other knife.

July 31st, 2019.The quality control disappoints me, it is clear that you did not review it. I'm going to return it. I hope the other does meet my expectations.August 10, 2019.I received a new butter knife for my nephew, he loved it. I just wanted to give him a little detail, he is a chef and it is not easy for me to find something for him. This butter knife was simple and perfect for him. I want to thank Jessica for her customer support service and for an extra butter knife for me, it is perfect for setting up a beautiful table for my guests. I knew that Amazon and the vendor could not disappoint me, both complied their word. Thank you for draw a big smile in my family.

It does do good job of picking up butter in thin strips
It does do good job of picking up butter in thin strips. But I still have to leave the strips on the slice of bread for a while to warm up a bit before spreading. I'm sure the butter warms up faster than if it were in a big lump, but it's definitely not ready for spreading as soon as it's picked up.

The knife is fine. How in the world do you use it ...
The knife is fine. How in the world do you use it effectively? It is VOID of any guidance. I can't seem to break the "code." Mostly, it is a toy and a conversation piece. I wish I could say something positive.

Hot garbage
I had high hopes for this little gadget but it turned out to be completely useless. It was a great idea but it just doesn't work... I ended up throwing it out because I didn't want it taking up space in the kitchen when it doesn't do anything special. It seemed to be of good quality but it was just useless...

Great Butter Knife to Spread Hard Butter onto Soft Bread
Got this as a gift, have not yet given it, hope none of my friends or family are reading this..... It's well made, looks great, I love the box it came in, and the principle of how it works is genius. Love it.

Not very "stainless" steel
Rusting after 1 trip through the dishwasher. For something that's supposed to be 304 stainless steel this doesn't seem correct to me. On the other hand I was able to get to do little strings of butter, but it really is very messy.
