Creatures & Critters Origami Craft Pad: 75 Sheets of Paper and Instructions for 25 Pretty Paper Folds

Love the patterned paper and the origami project ideas. They are simple and great for a beginner. I purchased this for my daughter. She has been making the shrimp design for weeks.

Charming book and a great gift idea. Chronicle Books offers a craft pad that come with directions to fold simple animal shapes such as frogs, carp, ducks, ponies. The paper included is really gorgeous and I would love to buy additional paper. The pad is rectangular to accommodate the instructions but the origami paper pages underneath the instructions are perforated so the paper is square.I bought this for myself to take during a business trip but liked it so much I picked up another one for my nieces. A great set!

Making origami depends on precise folds. It's impossible to precisely fold a paper in half diagonally unless the paper is square. The papers that come with this craft pad are definitely not square, making them useless for origami.

This pad has instructions for a number of models - nice but fairly standard - then a paid of 75 sheets of paper. These feature a number of designs in several different colour combinations - but there is a limited palette in the colours. I bought one and immediately, on seeing it, bought another one as a gift. The paper makes it a bargain buy for any origami enthusiast especially at the prices on Amazon (I paid less than £3 + post for mine!).I would have give it 5 stars except for the limited colourways in the paper - but that is a tiny niggle and not one that should put anyone off buying this super pad.

Really enjoyable and mindful experience! I now have an origami farm which flat packs into a Tupperware box! The origami bunnies are simply the cutest :D

Beautiful paper, and easy to follow instructions - I used the paper (and the goose pattern!) to decorate part of my wedding venue earlier this year. Would have given 5 stars other than the fact that as you tear out the paper in squares, it means there is quite a lot of wastage at the top of each sheet left in the book which seems a shame. Would however highly recommend this product.
