Haven't used these long but they seem like good quality cables!!

they are great material. However they are missing the plastic sleeve inside the plug that prevents the solder joints etc from touching the metal plug barrel. In real life this almost never happens but puzzling why this incredibly cheap part is left off. I unscrewed the plug barrel and heat shrinked a piece on, then screwed the barrel back on. Now they are perfect. I dinged a star for my time and aggravation. And because the piece of my heat shrink tubing cost more than the plastic tube they left off. Even GLS is going south on cutting corners. SMFH

Note: I've ordered a bunch of these GLS Cords and my original review works for all of the different products. The longest I have used is 6', and all of the connection configurations.Rebuilt reconfigured my sound rack in-between tours this year. Pulled countless unnecessary feet of old black cord, marked w/ sticky duct tape and electrical tape. Added an  Ebtech Hum Eliminator (8 Channel XLR)  and used these GLS cables to help keep everything straight. They sound great, and the color coding makes life so much easier. Been happy w/ al of these GLS cords. They are easy to coil and the connectors feel sturdy and come in and out easily. The only bummer was finding that they offer a 2' patch cable as well. I've already wired the 3's in so I'm not going to worry about it. Good cable, good value, good sound. Purchased these cables for two reasons: (1)I didn't have the time to make up the cables I needed for an installation, and (2)the color code makes it easy to track for quick wiring. I purchased the 6' and 3' lengths with various terminations and found the quality of the cable and connectors to be professionally fabricated. I was concerned by the description of balanced snake (thinking that they were tied together) but pleased to find that they are individually packed in separate packages. The packing also gave the added attraction of using velcro strips to fasten each cable. The cable arrived on time and save me time and money overall. I just can't say enough good things about these cable.

OK. I DID NOT receive anything in return for this review. I've been producing music as a hobby for 20 years. I also manage the sound system at my place of worship. I have a fairly elaborate home studio. In the past I've paid upwards of $50 for a single patch cable. As others, I've learned that I was basically paying for clever marketing. These GLS cables are awesome. Don't let the price fool you. The build quality is excellent. The cables are well insulated and thick; the connectors are sturdy and fit sockets well with no play. I bought these to replace some cheap cables that were giving me hum. No hum whatsoever with these. Unless you're a super audiophile, or you have super human hearing, there will be no discernable difference between these and the big expensive brands. I'll be buying GLS cables from now on.
