From the Manufacturer The only LED bulb made for chandelier and decorative lighting. Behaves exactly like the Edison incandescent in look and feel. Same brightness and warmth. But uses only 5W to replace 25W, saves you 80% energy cost. Finally a LED light bulb that can replace the incandescent.

Bright!
Got the clear version for an IKEA fixture that uses those funny E12 globes (the SPARSAM), and was pleasantly surprised to find that this LED lamp is noticeably brighter than the SPARSAM CFL. You'll want to use the clear version in a fixture where the lamp is fully covered (like a paper or cloth light), as it creates harsh shadows if it directly shines onto surfaces. I'll give the frosted a try with my desk lamp and see what I think and update.UPDATE after 4 months: The frosted one works great in my desk lamp, no harsh shadows. I've now replaced every E12 globe in the house with these--clear for shaded fixtures and frosted for unshaded ones. These bulbs are great, and I'm upping my rating from 4 to 5 stars. One slightly odd thing: I have a Småland Böna IKEA - HOLMÖ Floor Lamp that takes three E12 bulbs, and when I twisted one of these clear bulbs in the first time, it didn't light. I thought it was broken, but then I put it into one of the other sockets and it worked fine. Another clear SFT Magnolia bulb worked just fine in the same socket, so I just swapped them and they all worked. No idea why this happened, some flakiness with the IKEA lamp socket I assume.During Hurricane Sandy, my lights flickered a number of times when power was failing, and LED lamps can be more sensitive to such flickering than incandescents, halogens, or CFL's. But these bulbs didn't flicker as much as my PHILIPS EnduraLED 17 Watt A21 Dimmable LED Light Bulb 1100Lm ~ 75w equiv - equipped lamp did. (But the Philips was plugged into a fixture with a dimming switch, so that could have been the reason too.)Note that this bulb isn't dimmable--the dimmable version, SFT Dimming Magnolia-G45-5 Watt Frosted LED Chandelier Bulb-E12-Warm White (2700K)-230 Lumens is a few bucks more, and I haven't tried it.

Beware of socket size
While this bulb looks great it's design prevents it to screw into a sock that has and depth. Will not work in several lamps as there is not a long enough stem to make contact in the lamp. Very dissappointed

Excellent energy saving LED bulb!
I have used and installed hundreds of these little lights and they are amazing! The color is nice and the energy use is so little, it's almost like not even running a light at all. It replaces a 40w incandescent candelabra bulb with ease. Any incandescent with higher wattage will be hard to replace with this, but not impossible. It all depends on the location and use of the area.Highly recommended!By the way, these come in E12 and E26 sizes as well as round and candle shaped. All versions come in clear or frosted lenses.
