Rugged, compact, and works well at a price that wonât break the bank.
This review evaluates the âMIFARE Classic 1K RFID Key Fob (13.56Mhz)â made by YARONGTECH.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging in a padded envelope. Whatâs in the bag: Ten (10) 13.56Mhz RFID key fobs in eight (8) assorted colours.First impressions: Rugged, simple and works well. Not much to describe this product other than they are made out of decently thick (4mm) rugged ABS plastic and are approximately 30mm x 40mm in size. They come with their own split rings as well. The eight assorted colours are vibrant and useful for differentiating users and/or card readers. In my case I purchased these to use in conjunction with my smart door locks on my home; so each family member has their code and corresponding coloured key fob.Ok, enough of how it looks⌠How does it perform? For that test, set out and programmed 5 random fobs (with 5 different codes) with my smart lockset. Each fob was recognized immediately and programmed without issues. I then tested each fob to verify functionality and they each passed. The distance held from the reader to activate it is decent with no reading issues. PROTIP: Before ordering RFID fobs or cards, you must verify the operating frequency of your RFID reader. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades!!! You must match the frequency of the fobs with that of your reader. If you donât know for sure, consult the RFID reader manufacturer or your ownerâs manual.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I was very satisfied with these key fobs; they are rugged, program accurately, and work as they should. At a current price of $11.98 ($1.98 each), it is priced fairly for the quality and functionality delivered. In summary: the âMIFARE Classic 1K RFID Key Fob (13.56Mhz)â made by YARONGTECH is rugged, and works well at a price that wonât break the bank. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros đ:â Made from rugged ABS plastic.â Compact size and thick (30x40x4 mm).â Comes with metal split rings.â Comes in eight (8) vibrant colours.â Easy to program, error-free.â Waterproof, shockproof, and antiâcorrosion to ensure long service life.â RFID reading distance of 2-10cm depending on the RFID reader.â Competitively priced and of good value.Consđ:â Shipped directly from China, takes about 3 weeks to deliver.

So far, these work well and are writable
I'm using these in Home Assistant via the Home Assistant Tag Reader by Adonno (PN532 and an ESP8266 with the Adonno ESPHome code). I had no issue writing URLs used by this setup to these keyfobs, and they work consistently when scanned. I say this because a few that came with the PN532 kit I bought were not consistent in this regard, sometimes sending the URL and other times failing to do so (I'd just see the UID in Home Assistant). These don't seem to have that problem at all, so overall happy with them.Worth of note, I received 3 or 4 blue ones, and only 1 of each other color, which was slightly disappointing.

Still ticking with no issues
Used it for months now and still works. These are programmable and goes on the keychain much easier. They look better than the little card type some of these locks give you. Also cost less than going to a locksmith to pair new cards for you. Very nice.

Very few worked worked with my Codelocks 5510 lock
I was very disappointed. I was attracted to the keychain style but unfortunately, these were very unreliable if they worked at all. I am not sure what was the problem. Some took multiple tries to program. Some wouldn't program at all. I bought 30 of these and I am not going to be able to use any of them. I marked on them while I was programming them so I don't think I can get reimbursed for them. I ended up having to buy the card style and they work great.
