Q: How big is the patroller?

The pictures don't do it justice. It's pretty big, about 2 feet long and some change.

Q: Are the wheels supposed to “lock” in land mode? It’s a pretty bouncy ride since they don’t seem to lock but spring out when you move the bridge fwd.

Yes when you move the top portion of the boat forward the wheels do pop out and the ride is a boucey like swaying motion like a wavey ride on the water. cannot not say the wheels actually lock. The boat has lots of interesting things for kids to occupy them. the anchor they can pretend to dock the boat the hook for little attachments to hang from and the back part of the boat opens so the little car can drive in and out. and has cute sounds.

Q: Would regular paw patrol vehicles fit inside? I see that Ryder’s atv fits. instead of buying the pups sea patrol vehicles

I felt the same way about the pups and vehicles, but he still got them as presents so he has both. The vehicles that fit the paw patroller and the lookout would fit inside the sea patroller too. You have room for 2 of those vehicles inside the boat unless you stack them. Then there's room for another 1-2 vehicles. Skye has her own landing pad, so that's another vehicle, though the landing is a bit smaller than the regular helicopter would need. The sea patrol vehicles are a little smaller than the regular vehicles, so again, Skye has her own landing spot, and you can fit 2 inside, another 2 if you stack them. We added Ryder's ATV and the last vehicle to the pile and things turned a bit unstable but we managed. We left Skye, Rocky and Rubble inside their vehicles and put Ryder and the other pups on the bridge.

Q: What size pup figures go should i get to go with this set?

A link to a Rocky Submarine figure is listed below. This is a Christmas gift for my son, but the figures and their vehicles should fit both the sea patroller and the paw patroller.
