Johnson Brothers Willow Blue Bread & Butter Plate, 6", Blue

One plate has large chip out and the other actually broken in two. Smaller than I expected measuring only 5 1/2" across.Just 'large' enough to hold a slice of normal 'white gooey' bread. FYI. I was miffed the plates were received damaged..I am getting replacements shipped. Tableware seller was friendly and courteous and shipped 2 replacement plates out for me today. Smallish but genuine Johnson Bros pattern.' FYI ->> 'Johnson Brothers' is the pattern originator -not- the manufacturer in 2012. Both plates have 'Johnson Brothers England 1883' on the back BUT also an adhesive 'Made in China' label. They are beautiful of course but broken in transit evidently. I love to collect Blue Willow pieces. These items go in the cupboard eventually as my everyday china. As a former BW antique collector I know these are brand new 2012 and NOT 1883 originally..I want to let people know Johnson Brothers is the pattern originator..NOT the present day manufacturer. They are also marked microwave oven, dishwasher and freezer safe. I posted 3 pictures.

Pretty plate

These were a gift for my mother. She loves them!

I ordered 5 five of these small plates. The overall product design was nice, but two of the plates had small chips on the bottom. I am not sure if it worth sending them back, but I will definitely hesitate to purchase any more items like this. The packaging was good. I believe it was shipped in their condition..'chipped.' I would not recommend it at this time.

Perfect. Reminds me of my grand mothers dishes
