We love this sand for our young boys, (ages 9, 6 & 3) they all love it, but one in particular is especially sensory seeking. Play dough, silly putty, blankets.. he can’t get enough of this. We’ve had this sand before (in green) - when our puppy ate most of it (note: he was just fine, with no ill effects) but then I thought I’d save money and buy a knock off kinetic sand to replace it. That was a mistake.. it was dry and crumbly and incredibly messy. Needed to get rid of that. Don’t make my mistake- the Kinetic Sand brand is worth the $$.. it’s nice and moist, doesn’t make much of a mess-if any at all, it’s fun to shape, holds shape well, easy to contain, and quick to tidy up. We encourage the boys to keep it in the “sandbox” and they have hours of fun. We did purchase 3 bags right away so there was enough to play with, but for how much they enjoy it during the winter months while they can’t play in the sandbox outdoors, it was worth every cent. Highly recommend!

I bought 3 packs for my kids for Christmas. I finally threw it away in June.It has that indescribable soft, stretchy, yet fall apart kinetic sand consistency that is so satisfying to play with. It packs nicely so you can make shapes. I haven't had the colored kinetic sand so I can't compare the two, but I loved the texture of this.This never dries out. I left it on a cookie sheet up on a shelf and pulled it down every couple weeks for the kids to play with. For 6 months! Take that playdough.I thought my son had ruined his because he added some water to it, but after it sat on the shelf uncovered for a couple days it had dried out and was back to it's regular consistency.It cleans up easily as long as you don't get it wet! I walked into the living room and saw it smashed into the carpet everywhere and my hear dropped. Then I started picking it up and it just came right off without leaving anything behind. Amazing! It doesn't leave residue on your hands or the table unless it gets wet and then you feel like you went to the beach and have sand stuck to you. However if you just leave it to dry it wipes right off.When it gets smashed into toys it can be tricky to clean out of small crevices, but typically you can just take a handful and press it against it and it will just pull off.Loved that it looked like regular sand because the kids didn't complain about the colors and which ones they had or didn't have.This would make a great gift that a mom wouldn't hate you for giving to her child.
