A great gift for hand/wrist arthritis...not so much for big-handed people
PROs:I purchased this for my mom as a birthday gift and she loves it! She has terrible arthritis in her right thumb /palm joint and even though she says she can't feel this product massaging there, when she takes her hand out, she sees the little dots from the rubber massagers, so it's definitely hitting the area, it's just such damaged tissue she can't feel it. However, she uses it religiously at work and it's helped the pain and swelling so much. Now she has to hunt it down when she needs it though, because everyone else in the office borrows it.It's "portable" so she doesn't have to stay plugged into a wall to use it, and it holds enough juice for a few massages before needing to be recharged.CONsIt doesn't "massage" as much as "squeeze and release". It squeezes (pretty dang hard too on the higher settings) and holds pressure a few seconds then releases. I was looking for more of a focused rubbing action like a massage chair tends to do, but this is strictly pressure and release.Even on the lowest setting, it's very strong pressure. I'm sure this is great for people with arthritis like my mom I mentioned above, but can be uncomfortable if you don't have hand pain and just want a nice massage. It doesn't fit large hands/arms. My husband is 6'3" and 350 lbs and his hand only goes half way into the device. His hands are too wide and his arms too thick to get his hand more than half way in. This makes for a decent fingertip massage for him though, ha ha!

Woth the money - cheaper than high priced option, but with the same functionality
I can afford a more expensive version of hand massager, but after comparing all functions between this model and top of the line one, decided to give a chance to this new one. It works great, the pressure is sometimes too powerful. My husband is competing with me for it now - he is very sceptical for any massage gadgets usefulness, but fell in love with this one and uses it almost daily.Pros:1. Very powerful, intensity level 3 can completely block blood supply, so use it with caution.2. Enough settings for an average user - I found that my preference is one of the 4 programs and one level of intensity, but it is nice to have a choice.3. Charging is quick, it holds battery charge for a few sessions by 10 min, but also works if connected to the charder. My minor concern is that with time battery will wear itself out, but then I will use it while it is charging.4. My husband had minor nerve or myscle related pain in one of his fingers and several sessions of this massager completely removed feeling if discomfort he had before.Minor cons:1. It sometimes squicks like the pressure is too much for the plastic case, so for a while I was expecting it to be broken. However, after more than a month it is still intact and looks like new, so squeaky noise is just a minor nuance.2. The heating function is not very powerful and just barely heats. However, since I rarely use this, it does not matter much for me personally - the pressure alone increases bloodflow enough for my palms to warm naturally.3. Be ready to scare your kids with palms decorated with red-bluish dots after first few uses - the unit has certain pattern inside and first few times I used this machine it was quite uncomfortable to the level of slight pain, but with time I get used to it and now enjoy the massage. Conclusion: good, useful, powerful, cheap if compare to competitors, sturdy, be careful if you have fragile bones or supersensitive palms and start using it at the lowest settings.

This thing lasted 3 weeks tops. — UPDATE
I got this bad boy because I work a desk job and started feeling symptoms of what I thought might be carpal tunnel syndrome. Some pain in my left hand/forearm, but not so bad that I wanted to schedule a trip to the doc over it. I figured instead I'd get me a nice hand massager and take it easy.It was okay for the first few days. The screen was a little dim, which made it hard to see the settings, but if I twisted it at the right angle it was manageable. By the second week, the screen was completely busted. It had weird lines running through it, the light sort of vaguely came on unless I was hallucinating, I truly don't know it was so dim. I had managed to memorize the very simple panel by then so I kept on anyway, annoyed but not wholly dissuaded, until the third week. It flat out stopped working. Nothing. Dead as a doornail. It's not like I did anything weird with it. We weren't taking baths together. I don't have kids over here using it for soccer practice. I'm a single work from home person who had it just sitting beside me on a desk the whole time. There's no reason it should have given out that fast.UPDATEthe seller contacted me about this review, apologized for the experience, and sent me a replacement product. it even arrived the very next day. the customer service is great.

Larger than some systems. Very strong pressure.
I bought this because it's listed as working for larger hands. The literature reads: "the size of the entrance is 4.7×2.75." My hand is slightly smaller than that. What they don't tell you is that the inside of the machine tapers significantly. My hands stop with my second knuckle on the palm pad, and trying to get it in further aggravates my carpal tunnel syndrome, which is why I bought the machine in the first place. As many others have reported, the heat is pretty much unnoticeable. With a rating of "109.4 plus or minus 35.6 degrees" that means it will probably warm to 73.8 degrees, which is well below body temperature. It still works, and does a good job of compressing the hands. "Male/Level 3/Mode 4" feels like a velvet ATV is running over your hands.Unlike some other units,, it does work while charging. One other point--the literature offers a $15 gift card for a positive review. I'm seeing if they offer it for a four-star review. If they don't, I may revise this rating.
