Works, easy to install...Great Deal
Thank you Amazon Warehouse. This was a great buy for a used/like new ballast that I installed on the base of a FC12T9 32W bulb unit. Literally took me 15 minutes to removed the damaged one and replace with this like new one.All is well!

Replacement ballast
I used this to replace a Dawnsun ballast for a circular fluorescent tube in a fan. Clipped the old ballast from the line side connector and wire nutted the new one to the supply wires. This ballast is a bit longer, but the fan had additional screw holes that allows this to be mounted. It works as it should. It gets 5 stars for function, but downgraded since reliability is unknown at this time.

Perfect!
I got this to replace the dead florescent driver in a bug zapper that I have. It worked as expected ... no issues at all. And the bulb is noticeably brighter now. I suspect the stock driver wasn't actually putting out 40w like this one is.

Perfect, beat the competition
I own a lovely GE Profile C arm lamp whose ballast died after about 6 months of use. Being a bulky item, the shipping to fulfill the warranty wasn't really worth it, and I would've gotten a replacement, not a repair, and I'm the sentimental type. Anyway, it hung around for a few years while my mom would periodically tell me to throw it out. I finally got around to attempting to replace the ballast by contacting GE, who said only the bulb was replaceable. Pshh. As if. I then sawed open the ballast to attempt a fix, but it was every bit as unilluminating (pun!) looking inside as the veteran electronics forum people had indicated it would be. So I snipped the wires and put in a new ballast, the "Energy Savings Super Mini" for 2D 38W lamps. Exulting in my success, I was soon disappointed to discover that the ballast gave off a piercing whistle. My attempts to ignore it only made my ears feel as though they were being assaulted with safety pins.So then I got this ballast. Success! The lamp lit and no whistle. It does whistle a teensy bit for about 30 seconds at start up, which I can hear by putting my ear right under the lampshade, but I can't hear it from a distance and it vanishes pretty quickly anyway, like I said. It's also reasonably priced; a lot of the GE 38W 2D ballasts I saw online were pretty pricey. I should mention that the Circline connector it's wired with does fit 2D lamps but doesn't lock into place; so I had to rewire it to put on a real 2D lamp connector.
