I prefer these notebooks much more than the Hilroy ones, the paper is really nice and it works well with fountain pen ink, a little bit of ghosting is to be expected. The paper feels really smooth and has some sort of "shine" to it.I'm not much of a paper enthusiast, but I know that I would have loved to write on these notebooks as a young student.

This 10-pack is a great value at the price range of $15-18 in which it has been fluctuating. The paper is not Clairefontaine grade, but it is quite fountain pen friendly and smooth. The B5 size is just right. There are designated spaces for pagination and date. You can lay the notebook flat. The cover is not heavy duty, but it is adequate given the notebook thickness.
