I am a size 10 also. I was tempted to order the small but went for the medium and I am glad I did. I have a very small waist and am a classic pear shape but I would be considered slim. I think the fit is perfect for me. I think a small would be too tight and restrictive. The hold is very good for this item and is excellent value. I have seen similar that are in the £60+price range. I hope that helps.
