We're always suspicious of saffron, so we test it with 5 different tests any time we try a new brand.Happy to say this one passed all tests perfectly, and was even a little more potent than the other three we tested it against, which we know to be reputable.We used it in a traditional paella once received, and it was very nice.Quality product at a reasonable price.

We loved this Saffron. It has a nice smell and flavor. We used it in Biryani and the dish came out flavorful. Recommended!

As mentioned, I haven't tried straight saffron. It has a funky burnt, metallic flavor. They say it's good in certain foods used sparingly, and I'll take their word for that.I know that saffron is quite expensive, so this seems like a decent buy, relatively speaking. Despite the fact that I don't love the taste, I do think it's legit and give the product a 4 star rating.

Surprised at the variation in price across brands so I wondered if it was fake somehow but no, it is indeed saffron.

So far used the threads for a shrimp chorizo paella. Given the myriad of flavours it is hard to comment on one ingredient. However, suffice it today that the dish had the expected depth of taste you would expect.
