Excellent plant-based cookbook!
Having switched to a plant-based diet looking for a good cookbook was a challenge but this book certainly is a great find. The recipes are easy to make and very delicious I especially like the crunchy sesame tofu, and spicy beet bowl among many others. It really gives you a great in-depth appreciation for cooking a plant-based meal including starting with the basics how to soak and cook and prepare dried beans legumes rice and other staples that you’ll use in creating the recipes. It has a really great array of recipes from high-protein salads, satisfying lunches, easy breakfast smoothies and whole food dinners that leave you very full and satisfied and even a few really good desserts !! Whether you are new to a plant-based diet or a veteran I highly recommend this cookbook as a chef myself it lays out everything in an easy to understand way to prepare the meals quickly and do some work in advance i.e. prep for your meal.

Only of value if a novice vegan
I was very disappointed with this book. For me, recipes very basic and no value add-on to my other vegan recipe books and/or free vegan recipe websites. The blurb of “for athletic performance and muscle growth” just clever marketing. I’ve been an Ovo-lacto vegetarian since birth so since becoming vegan, I need recipes that provide me with recipes that I would not think of by myself or via usual resources. This was just an impulse buy, influenced by the blurb but essentially really basic so only useful if you’re a novice.

Decent book, good value for money
My favorite thing about this book is the extensive information about soaking, sprouting and cooking beans legumes and grains at the front of the book. Really useful, and looking forward to trying my own sprouting! The recipes themselves are pretty varied although use a lot of the same ingredients, and are split between staples, breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Would like to see some more breakfast recipes from this author as they are mainly smoothie breakfasts. It also has the calories and macros and storage information for each recipe which is really useful.Overall it's a decent book and very good value for money as it was only £6 for the paperback which is of good quality. Would recommend but also advise it is in cups so you may need to convert.
